'Brazilian duo Crewcutz sharpen their skills for their Clarisse debut. Their brand of house for tanned torsos and style gurus has quickly earned support and respect from the scene’s pacemakers, and they did themselves no harm at all when 2022 saw them drop a cheeky edit of New Order’s seminal ‘Blue Monday’. ‘Just Like You’ jumps into clear blue waters and turns winter into a distant memory.
 
The beats fit Clarisse’s dancefloor designs perfectly – heavy on the percussion throughout until palms are pulverised, a bassline that’s doughy yet flexible, and the relaxed yet punchy feel of a beach party that, like the nature of the rolling groove, doesn’t know and doesn’t care when closing time will be. Vocally ‘Just Like You’ takes its cues from a sassylicious princess who’ll love you long time - pure diva material schooled on how to be a material girl and about bringing all the boys to the yard, the sort who are carried to the pool on their own personal 24 carat lounger.
