Either when holding the bar for over a decade at Soundwall - one of the reference webzines for the Italian electronic music landscape, working as artistic director for the Roman party RNY or during his two-decade long digging journey, Matteo Cavicchia's life has always been guided by music and the desire to explore and absorb as many artistic stimuli as possible.
Basically Ugly Covers was born in 2023 as an ode to the bad taste for record covers' artworks from back in the day, the surface under which some of the most underrated and funniest gems of (not only) dance music are uncovered.

As the 13th episode of Lattexplus Series we are pleased to share with you an excerpt of Samuele Pagliai's DJ set before Amp Fiddler's live performance, the legendary Detroit artist we hosted at Combo Club on November 15th, 2018.

Thanks to his careful reading of the situation Samuele knows well how to set the atmosphere for the audience and prepares the listeners for the artist following him, passing from the most obscure jazz to deep house in just 76 minutes. The common vibe of his selection is clearly soulful but he never fails to surprise us with some leftfield and proto-house excursions.

The "Warm Up" is considered an art and takes years of studying to be able to master it. With that being said, we can confidently say Samuele Pagliai is a true master of the art.

New year, new mixes! 
Let's start 2020 in style with one of Australia's best selectors CC:DISCO! (@cc-disco). Her set are packed with the finest disco, house and italo cuts that always result in proper goodtimes on the dancefloor.

DJ, radio host, curator, label head and party promoter – CC:DISCO! is hopelessly lost in music and there’s no turning back. Playing disco, house and boogie cuts with her heart at the controls, CC triggers a joyous feedback loop that infects the dance floor. There’s no pretension, only pure feeling.
