ava. label boss and Robert Johnson affiliate Damiano von Erckert is landing on the aforementioned club's in-house label, two years after his Space, Diversity, No Limits 12". This time he's sharing a full long player, Euphoric Spirits, which transports us straight onto the dance floor and, as its name suggests, it's full of eyes-closed euphoria. Taking cues from the roots of Chicago and Detroit he shares a batch of emotive house, rave and electro cuts that take you out of your head and into your body.

The 4-tracks covers a wide spectrum of feelings, from spaced out reggae to french boogie to blue-eyed-disco to classic house. All interwoven in their signature sound.

"La Nuit" starts the EP with a "I can't believe it's not a Madonna track" french boogie pop track with a bassline that can move mountains.
"Feel our Love" and "Keep on Loving" cruises the fine line between funky uptempo disco and melancoly, creating a beautifully soul-groove that echoes The Loft or Paradise Garage.
"Caribean Queen" ends up smoothly with a cosmic, dubbed out approach lending the vocals from one of the early 80ies biggest billboard hits.

Members Patricio Cabezas and Mats Lundgren consists of equal parts producers and crate diggers. Inspired by a vast range of dusty synths and a miscellaneous record collection their exposure to a broad musical diet are clearly heard in their productions.
Prior this EP, Dagfest has released retro house on Tensnakes label , Balearic? with Chris Coco and Afro Disco on Whiskey Disco as well as numerous edits on their own.
