This is one of five songs written during 2020-2021 for Hair Shair, A Musical Memoir, a stage production I wrote based on a project I began in 2008 called The Hair Shair Project. I interviewed over 100 women about their hair with the hope of writing a book. Instead, a musical memoir happened along the way, premiering June 24, 2022 at The Fresno Art Museum--a magical, memorable evening.
