Laura used to be in a girl band in the early 2000s called Virginia. They released an album called First Bite, which is about to be rereleased. She now sings with a band called The Laura Matthews Band. It's made up of Steve Fitzgerald on the guitar, Chris Jones on bass, Humphrey Couchman on cello and Mike McKenzie on drums and Laura on vocals and piano. The sound is a beautiful mash up between English singer songwriter and Americana. Currently, she puts on a very popular live music night called Laura's Lounge in London where she showcases new talent and seasoned musicians, as well as her band. She is currently writing and recording for diverse projects and proud to be part of SUD, aka Etienne H & Friends, having written and sung on the new album Lavande.
