A song I wrote about those who may have family members who are battling dementia.  Tough subject.  Most of us can relate.  The hardest song God's ever laid on my heart to write.

Benediction of Promise

Written for Ricky, Abbie, and Noah Smith.  Inspired by the story of Noah.  
As I wrote this song I felt the extravagant, unconditional, righteous and holy love of Jesus.
I told Rick way back in August, that I'd probably end up writing a song for Noah and him.  
The morning of Jan. 27th about 7:00 a.m.  I had just finished my prayer time with God and I started humming a tune and the words fell out onto my lap, within 10 min.  the song was written.  Very spirit led.

This song was written back when I was contemplating on Jan. 1st 1998 that I didn't have any black eye peas as a tradition for good-luck into the New Year.  I realized I must put my trust, my full trust into Jesus Christ to guide me through the New Year, and not rely on false promises of horoscopes, lottery, and black eye-peas as my safety net. I've been songwriting since 1991.  I was a music educator for 23 years in elem. education.  I was called into music ministry, when the Lord said, I would have a fulltime music ministry.  I cut 5 CD's, which included Your Character Counts.  I traveled did concerts, shared my music in churches and other places.  I went to Asbury Theological Seminary.  I met my husband.  Headed towards becoming a pastor.  I served in a few churches along with my husband.  Now retired and living the good life from home I continue to write songs, and now I'm in process of digitalizing, all my songs and getting them out to the world.
