Daydreams

Hi, I’m Laura! I write all kinds of music, but specialize in Pop, Ballads, and Musical Theatre. I compose my own lyrics, melodies, harmonies, and orchestrations. I also write Musicals with my Creative Partner, Marc A. Moir, through our Company, Looking Glass Theatre. I believe that luck is simply where preparation meets opportunity, and that the only limits we have are the ones we set for ourselves. 

Our musical, “When You’re A Star” is currently being produced on stage! We’ve had the immense pleasure to direct and star in the World Premier of our very own show and it has been nothing short of amazing. I hope you enjoy the tracks from this hilarious and ridiculous love-letter to Broadway. (You'll find these songs under the playlist, "Christmas Insanity!" We still haven't quite settled on a permanent name yet.)

The other musical you’ll find on here is called “Azusa Street” and it’s about the rise and fall of the so-called  “faith healer” Charles Fox Parham. It’s a very different vibe from “When You’re A Star” and we couldn’t be prouder of the music. 

Another Album of note: “Sounds and Sweet Airs”. This music is 100% by me (with some of the poetry by William Shakespeare 😉) It’s a Concept Album based on The Bard’s plays. I am so extremely delighted by how this Album is shaping up. I hope you enjoy it as much as I am! 

And finally, you’ll find an Album of songs about my own personal experience of leaving the church I grew up in and running away to something new. These songs were more of a necessity to write, than a pleasure, but I think the music holds its own pretty easily. And who doesn’t love a good dose of deconstruction these days? 😅 

All this to say, you’ll find a lot of variety across my profile, which is something I’m very proud of! As an artist, I do think I’ve developed my own, unique voice, and yet part of that is my love of variety! I hope you enjoy, engage, and come back often!
