FAGGOTRY Mix Series #26

DJ, producer, and singer Linn Elisabet embodies a contemporary interpretation of techno. Defying conventional frameworks and functionality, their compositions and performances are characterized by ethereal vocals, intricate sound design, and raw broken beats. With a classically trained background in cello and church choirs, it's clear where their reverberant soundscapes and symphonic narratives originate. In addition to their work on their own label, Acts of Rebellion, Linn has released music on renowned labels such as 47, Noise Manifesto, Gegen, abd BPitch sub label Ufo Inc. among others.

Originario de Madrid, David Lázaro, más conocido como Neurite, es cofundador del colectivo Crudo (Madrid), el cual lleva más de tres años desempeñando una labor incansable en la organización de eventos mensuales, contribuyendo activamente a preservar la esencia underground de la ciudad.

Neurite demuestra una profunda pasión por la vertiente más sincopada del techno, explorando los límites de los patrones rítmicos en cada uno de sus sets, predominando en todo momento los patrones rotos. Su música ha sido recientemente publicada en el sello berlinés Caedite Eos y próximamente, lanzará nuevo material en el sello napolitano Dystant Recordings.

En este set, ha optado por mostrar su faceta más personal, bajando el tempo y añadiendo matices de ambient, halftime e IDM, creando una experiencia sonora más introspectiva.

Originally from Madrid, David Lázaro, better known as Neurite, is the co-founder of the collective Crudo (Madrid), which has spent more than three years tirelessly organizing monthly events, actively contributing to preserving the city's underground essence.

Neurite shows a deep passion for the more syncopated side of techno, pushing the boundaries of rhythmic patterns in each of his sets, with broken beats predominating throughout. His music has recently been released on the Berlin-based label Caedite Eos, and he is set to release new material soon with the Naples-based label Dystant Recordings.

In this set, he has chosen to reveal his more personal side, lowering the tempo and incorporating elements of ambient, halftime, and IDM, creating a more introspective sonic experience.

Ossifer is a techno artist hailing from Baltimore and based in his adopted home of Montreal since 2011. Specializing in overtone-heavy, polyrhythmic styles, he is known for his hypnotic, atmospheric productions. Along with Stereo_IMG, he is part of the production and hybrid-live duo Dissembler, with releases forthcoming on labels such as Diffuse Reality and Trau-ma. He also produces events as a member of the Exposé Noir collective.

ABOUT THE ARTIST: Native New Yorker and Indian by birth, Jahveri has been dabbling with music production and DJing since the early age of 16. What once started off as a hobby slowly became a passion. Having different aliases in the past, Jahveri was officially born in March of 2022 when he decided to take his artist vision in another direction.

In July of 2022, he started Hypnotherapy, a podcast on SoundCloud which showcases hypnotic and psychedelic music. He has featured artists like Damon Bradley, APS, Pastels, Eric Umble, Matt Altman & many more. In November of 2022 he founded Mind Xpansion, a party with one sole purpose, to bring the minds of like-minded music heads together. Some of his prior bookings include Isabel Soto, Lychee, Deepak Sharma, Sai & Aaron J.

Currently Jahveri has been hitting the studio more than ever, taking lessons with other producers in the game and really honing in on his sound. Three words that Jahveri uses to best describe his sound would be sci-fi, sinister & hypnotic. Some of his biggest influences right now include Takaaki Itoh, Luke Slater, Wata Igarashi & Oscar Mulero.

ABOUT THE MIX: "This mix encapsulates the heart and soul of New York City from Jahveri's point of view; driving, chaotic, with moments of sorrow, happiness and always in a constant state of change, just like the big apple. Starting off slow with Alexander Metzger's UFO Invasion Intro, while building it up into Jahveri's unreleased track, Dosa Delights and eventually closing it out with Oscar Mulero's Black Propaganda, this mix takes you on a hypnotic journey, through time, space and emotion. Emerging from the shadows of experimental music, PSYCHATRIAN conjures eerie, avant-garde soundscapes that guide the listener inward—into a realm where stream of consciousness becomes the only compass. Rooted in a dark, melancholic aesthetic, the project draws from the raw emotional weight of black metal and incorporates contemporary classical pieces directly into its sets, while crossing genres with influences from rap, hip hop, and beyond. Since its inception in 2018, PSYCHATRIAN has served as a boundary-pushing extension of Laura MRLS, exploring the outer edges of sound and the inner depths of the human psyche.
