Despite a few technical problems (stage was quite moving and records jumped few times) -  I'm happy to share a very good memory from a couple of months ago at Mostra in Barcelona for the first edition of the festival.  An honest mix that is the good reflexion of what playing vinyl can also bring sometimes. Vand played an excellent live set before me and it was pure joy to be behind the decks on that day.  Souvenir is strong. Thanks to everyone for listening.

This is the third installment of the charity compilation, a gathering of 20 artists who have contributed their sonic vision in order to relief these hard times where some people still survive on fear, hostility and indifference in Colombia.

Money raised will go to help the Fundación Rediseñandonos located in Bogotá, which works for the reintegration of homeless people through needlework. another part goes to indigenous organizations in defense of life and care of the environment in Cauca region.

As always you’ll find a wide musical spectrum from Ambient, Deep, Tribal, to Drum and Bass.

"Last November, I’ve had the chance to play a closing set right after Paramida and Alex Kassian on a Thursday night at Badaboum in Paris for Cahiers Electroniques. The night not being Techno oriented, I tried to respect the progression of the running order on building a groovy set, full of percussions and quite dub focused. It turned out super energetic and people were transported by the storytelling - it’s a very good memory that I wanted to share with Vurt as I’m playing at the venue in Seoul on January 6.

Laura BCR takes her name from the much-loved and now closed, Berlin record store, Bass Cadet Records, where she spent a couple of years behind the counter. A former record store co-owner (Bass Cadet Records), booking agent, and head of the On Board agency and label, Laura’s dedication runs deep.

In this second installment, Laura BCR welcomes F-on aka Alfonso Pomeda for a 2 hours vinyl only show. Madrid-based DJ & producer, F-On has got an impressive energy and strength, running Antimatter or Alpenglühen labels, a distribution, a recordstore and a couple of parties in the Spanish capitale. His latest opus on Alpenglühen with Vand is a favorite this year - they are actually both doing a couple of showcases with the label in key venues such as Gare in Porto or Griessmüehle in Berlin.

No need for introduction when it comes to https://soundcloud.com/naturalelectronicsystem Originally from Naples, the duo has been playing in the most reputed festivals and clubs worldwide from Labyrinth to Paral-lel Festival, providing always acclaimed productions with a big respect of a large fan base.  On this fourth instalment of my residency, I’m hosting half of the duo, friend Valerio Gomez de Ayala for a journey into some of his favorite ambient records, he doesn’t use to play in clubs. I’m on the first hour, Valerio the second.

Back at the end of the ’90s, Valerio started to collect techno, IDM, ambient, experimental, house and electronic music records from all over the world. In the early ’00, he had the opportunity to work in a local club in the Vesuvian area where he had to play very Mainstream music, but training also himself in the meantime hours before the party or when the club was closed by recording tapes with music he liked. Following this very first experience, he finally had the opportunity to buy his own turntables and improved his technic. 
Then, in 2004 , he started with his high school friend and musical soulmate, Antonio Giova , the natural/electronic.system. project in order to express their personal idea of sound. 

Next for duo, Mediterranea EP on Tikita which will hit the stores this month. They are also preparing an upcoming EP on Delsin, one of their all time favorite labels and are working on lot of music right now.

Very happy to host one of the hottest Dutch talents @woodyninetytwo on Rinse France! With a huge range of sounds oscillating between tripping techno, electronics and very mental ambient, Woody is a music collector with very particular and unique tastes. Easily you can get caught in his universe by listening to his monthly show on @lyl, Neon Cleptu  or checking all his graphic works inspired by the medieval area - bringing you directly in an other dimension. With residencies at De School or Garage Noord in Amsterdam, Woody uses to play a lot in the Dutch Capitale and abroad, joining also quite often forces with an other fav Spekki Webu. I'm on the first hour 50news/50oldies, Woody the second.

This month, we have Haruka joining the show for an hour of powerful techno. Deep incursion into the Japanese master universe with a very well curated mix oscillating between deep and intense productions. Resident DJ and co-organizer of DJ Nobu’s infamous Future Terror parties, half of Twinpeaks duo(with DJ Yazi)Haruka has established himself as one of the most important figures in the Tokyo’ scene. Rinse France / Laura BCR with Haruka - 02sd March 2020

A couple of months ago, I had the chance to discover @vickisiolos 's Bright Patterns shows on NYC-based The Lot Radio and her recent mix for excellent Mysteries of the Deep. Instantly, I found a lot in common in our tastes and I'm super happy she is joining me on that new session for Rinse France. Vicki is based in Brooklyn where this mix has been recorded - on Day 26 of quarantine! After a long time working in music, Vicki finally stepped up and started to play for crews like The Bunker NYC a couple of years ago showcasing her very own and unique tastes. She is now a resident DJ at The Lot Radio and she is preparing a new mix on cassette to come very soon.
This time, Vicki is on for the first hour with a very percussive, immersive & deep mix. Me, the second with a mix of news coming from ASC, Shoal, Fred P, Wata Igarashi & Voiski and some fav from Dots, Pris, Synthek rmx Natural/electronic.system etc.

Rinse France / Laura BCR with Vicki Siolos - 13th April 2020

Amsterdam-based @vandmusic has dedicated almost a decade to play and experiment electronic music. The young DJ & producer has been releasing some of my favorite beats in a recent times - we can directly think about his latest collaboration with @bas-dobbelaer on Sohaso which is definitely a must have record and his latest EP on F-On's label Alpenglühen. He is also part of the excellent @Isotoop crew, also based in Amsterdam, who organizes some very finest parties in some parts of the globe. Vand is delivering a downtempo selection oscillating between 100-120bpm, a flawless & transcendental session which fits very well with the current situation where we all have to slow it down.
I'm on the first hour with a special ambient selection mostly compiled with my latest Bandcamp finds. Don't forget to support the artists and labels there if you can. Hope you'll enjoy the show.
