Hailing from Sweden, its clear that the Bltonik brothers are influenced by theEuropean electro aesthetic. The tone on this four tracker is austere and occasionally  wuite bleak, but dont let that put you off. The robust metallic breaks and resonating bass frequencies on "Uranium Angels" gives way to atmospheric strings and a Kraftwerk influenced vocodered vocal. "Ergo" follows suit with a moody arrangement and more amusing vocoder vocals. The brothers reveal their dark side on the flip with moody, stomping breaks of 'Masheen Song' and 'Elapse Current Loop'- with the latter sounding all the more sinister due to  its mantra about 'cultural conformity'

The grinding acid assemblage of the best cuts from NYC's biggest Electro label on this their retrospective comp, is speckled with unreleased goodies and tracks from as far back as 96. Prepare yourself for heavy , bass-driven electro. This ain't no minimal experimental album. Even breaks heads will love tracks like Scape Ones "Android robotics," while Decals "From the Inside" can do some serious dance floor damage. An emotional ride with EMS's "Take my Time" takes the edge off of the overall acid feel of this album. Remember your squatting days in that abandoned industrial site? This was your Soundtrack!

Toronto's Gregory "Lowfish" De Rocher survived a childhood hearing problem
and the demise of Canadian manufactured 12" vinyl ( a costly complication for his and partner Jason Amm's Suction Label) De Rocher brings his accessible breed of electro to his new Satamile LP, steeped more in dubby, early detroit beat structures ("Torsion") and catchy, big room synth overlays ("Wahawa") than the lean, techno driven styles of other electro greats like Anthony Rother. Which does not render these cuts any less enjoyable: "Bitter," one of Burns's leanest tracks, delivers an electro masterpiece by locking a minimal 3/4 electro baseline into rhythmic nirvana with a simple wee-eeeer melody. Its all expertly produced stuff, made for kicking up your 2 a.m. DJ set a notch or two.

“I’ve been quite amused at how easy it is to stream background music these days. How accessible it all is and how entitled we all feel to it, like it’s some sort of air freshener you spray in your Uber.

For some reason I’m imagining a future where Elon Musk does a streaming deal, so he can prance around controlling nano implant VR chips for 1 million amortal coastal elites, while the rest of us don’t have electricity and only manage one rave a year - to a sound system powered by rationed candles. This is music for that fantasy scenario, ha.

Anyway, I don’t want these 2 tracks to be part of background air freshener world. They are limited edition club gear. I wanna play them out so badly in my live show.

Beat junkie, producer and dj who has been moving minds galaxy wide for well over the past decade with his unique blend of dark sci-fi robot infected electro sounds for the dance floor. Being influenced by the early days of electro, breakdancing, hip hop, graff, and broken beat music such as Kraftwerk, Chakka khan, Newcleus, Styx, Egyptian Lover, Midnight Star, Lisa Lisa, Run DMC, Afrikka Bambatta, Edie Grant, Kurtis Blow, and many more talented artists.

In 1995 he purchased his first set of turntables self teaching the tactics and skills he would later use to rock party people on the dance floor world wide. Weekends soon became forest and full moon parties with beats and freaks dancing under the stars in the very beautifull northern Arizona countryside. In 1996 he moved to London to pursue his dreams of production and become submerged in the UKs underground electronic dance culture and music scene. While living in the UK he performed at his first massive event called World of Dance in Aug of 1996 under the name Neon Beat batteling the Psyconauts along side the bassest from Massive Attack and Big Darren, plus several smaller events and happenings in UK/EU area. Living across the street from the legendary Blue note club in Hoxton square near Old Street he was hitting some of the first of the METALHEADZ nights, FABRIC, the End, and many other underground events collecting inspiration and ideas to create urban influenced, BASSheavy electro robotik sounds geared towards the dance floor. Through a good friend he later met a couple of guys who were working on a little bedroom label at the time. They asked for some scratching over some of the projects they were working on. This label later became one of the most prominent breakbeat labels in the world now known as Finger lickin records. They released Soul of Man, Finger lickins first release, then soon after Finger lickin vol 1 Dj tool record bothe featuring ILLEKTROLAB scratching.

Djing under the name djl3go for the first part of his career he quickly made a name for himself on the underground rave/club circuit with his fluid scratching and mixing abilities plus playing free parties around various parts of the world passing out loads of demos to the beat junkies. In the year 2000 he was forced to change his name due to the L3GO toy corporation threatening him with a law suit. The decision was then made to activate his alter ego ILLEKTROLAB and spread the robot music to all open ears and minds possible. Since then he has performed on bills with many of the most influential and well known artists in the hip hop, electronic dance and uderground music scene such as Grandmaster Flash, Jazzy Jeff, Afrikka Bambatta, Kurtis Blow, Goldy, Perry Farrell of Janes Addiction, Lady Kier of D lite, Dj Craze, Massive Attack, Dynamix, Rabbit in the Moon, Dj Icey, Jackal and Hyde, Rhazel etc....... ILLEKTROLABS high energy performances, scratching, and darker style of production are known to move the crowd and tantilize the senses into a sonik assault of electromechanical madness. With the launch of his own label ADVANCED ROBOTIKS in 2008, (ADRO 01). A slamming release on Satamile records (SAT39) 2007, and a very impressive aresenal of unreleased tracks in his vault the future is looking very bassheavy and energized for the illektrokadet and his robot uprising. The sounds are spreading to every corner of the globe like an uncontrollable yet programmed sonik virus. During his explosive dj/live PA performances ILLEKTROLAB feeds off the music he plays and then projects that energy and adrenaline straight into the crowd creating a direct connection with the party people travelling with them on their galactic space journey into sound. Ask anyone thats seen an ILLEKTROLAB performance and its the same story in any language. The energy is unbelieveable.The sounds are dark, heavy, and thought provoking with ground quaking deep bass along twisted driving acidic synth lines. Best heard on an ear bleeding wall of bass!!

The bottom line is that ILLEKTROLABS music is unparalleled, beat junkies and BASS freaks galaxy wide just keep asking for more. His style is unorthodox, yet crowds keep lining up to catch the vibe of his unique and futuristic robot sounding beeps and bleeps, all sequenced together with a certain mathmatical movement to make the bones vibrate and the body girate. Many try to imitate while ILLEKTROLAB originates. His sound is all his own, ROBOTIK, bassheavy, laced with attitude - and moving minds planetary.

This Swedish trio are blazing a path into the future with oldskool, nuskool, floor burning electro-breaks tunes. Sounding out all the way from Malmo, Sweden
get ready for some of the most well produced , new and  interesting electro to come around for a long time.  The Blotnik Brothers make it look easy, think Chemical Brothers producing straight up electro , with tracks such as "Ergo" licensed by the likes of Dave Clark for his World Tour 2 LP.  What makes the Blotniks so special is their sound, its theirs to own and the invivible skill at which they present it to the listener.  They occupy a dark and at times warm , optomistic sonic wunderland full of fantasy and mystique, story tellers by their own right. After their firs two ep's on Satamile we are proud to present their first LP "Mizuage"a masterpiece of rythmic , tonal  variation that makes its mark on the world.  Allready "Mizuage" is charting nu 15 in the National College Radio charts for rpm (electronica). Surrounded by major labels this is a astonishing accomplishment.  
    The Blotnik Brothers are three friends that started recording and working together several years ago in Malmo, Sweden, Martin, Roberto, and Patrick. Each one has specific task in production. Roberto is really the head technician, Patrick writes and does the vocals while Martin helps with production and gives informative esthetic insight. All three are very creative with their talenst focused in different areas but converging together to produce the Blotnik Brothers.  Its quite rare to find three artist 


Outburn Magazine Review:
Evil Break-Dance music: The Blotnik Brothers "Mizuage", is the kind of album you'd expect to hear blasting out of a Decepticon Night Club on the planet of Cybertron, assuming such a place even existed in the first place. This trio of  Swedes (who incidently, arent actually brothers at all) make dark, hard hitting electro that sounds like it came from another planet, the kind of planet either inhabited by intelligent robots or aliens who grew up listening to intercepted transmissions of Kraftwerk, Africa Bambata, and 90's EBM. Blending old school hip-hop,  neo-electro, acid breaks, and modern EBM, the Blotnik Brothers have created a dark and dirty album that bumps and booms with menacing bass stabs,  funky breaks, and evil robot vocals. There is very little filler to be found on this 11 track outing, and electro Dj's can pretty much pick and choose what they want to play from this release since about every cut is a surefire floor filler. Even EBM dj's might come across a few gems as well, like the menacing "Dont Worry You Won't Dissolve", which sound like it could have come off the latest Headscan release. Its no surprise that New Yorks Satamile Records picked up on this trio, since the label seems to have the market cornered on outstanding electro at the moment.
