As part of RBMA Radio’s time in Atlanta, US, this episode of the Choice Mix is helmed by one of the city’s original house music don’s, Ramon Rawsoul. As one of the key figures powering the annual, thousands-strong house music dance party, House In The Park, alongside the likes of Kai Alce, and also being a strong presence at Atlanta’s The Gathering, Ramon Rawsoul knows how to rock a dancefloor with powerful grooves, uplifting voices and a steady pair of hands on the decks. Originally from Chicago, but having been based in the state of Georgia for many years, Ramon Rawsoul knows how to make the house music sound travel, and remain sincere to it’s core.

Cocktail Party Effect has in his studio, collected over the years. A mix of Zappa, Enduser, future sound of London and bozo dog doo-dah band together with some of his favourite noise pieces from Japan.

Cocktail Party Effect [Short Attention Span]

Paralaxe Editions is based in Barcelona, and Ylia (a.k.a. Susana Hernández) has long been one of the city's most well-regarded musicians. A classically trained pianist who came of age DJing breakbeat raves in Andalucia, she easily maneuvers between disparate scenes and styles; she's as comfortable dropping electro and techno records as she is performing alongside experimental flamenco artist Niño de Elche (she's a member of his touring band).


Following her appearances on labels such as Lapsus and Hivern Discs, Dulce Rendición is Ylia's first full-length effort, a cinematic collection of meditative and richly melodic tracks that largely grew out of her intimate live sets. Weaving together analog synths, field recordings and fragments of her own voice, much of the music was directly inspired by her dreams—and more specifically, the seemingly impossible sights and sounds that populated them. Working to recreate their lingering silhouettes in the light of day, Ylia oscillated between moments of deep introspection and playful fantasy as she settled into the hazy space between sleep and consciousness.

— Here is a showcase of my all time favorite tracks, music that made me want to open up my DAW of choice and start creating immediately.
From my childhood years, through the teenage years to now, music that totally transformed the way I hear music and pushed me forwards.
Mildly mixed-beatmatched, this one maybe makes super sense only to me but it's something I wanted to create.
