An orchestral prelude to Gustav Holst's "Saturn - The Bringer of Old Age"
This piece was composed in 2019 and was inspired by the Cassini-Huygens Mission (1997-2017) and the landing of the Huygens probe on Saturn's moon Titan on January 14, 2005. It is also an homage to the 400th anniversary of the publication of Johannes Kepler's "Harmonices Mundi" (1619)—the basic material comes from Kepler's "score" for Saturn.
