David Iriarte and Carles Rocamora are Iro Aka, born and raised in Barcelona, and living between Barcelona and Ámsterdam. Their music is defined as eclectic and hypnotic, including a huge range of tempos and broken beats, inspired by IDM, techno, trance and breakbeat classics.

They’ve released their unique productions in labels such as Hivern Discs or Elephant Gait Music. Expect one hour of delightful ambient and IDM atmospheres.

Barcelona and Amsterdam based producers and DJ duo Iro Aka is taking control of episode 24 of Polychrome Radio.

When visual artist and friend Gerard Musquera shares music with us it usually means something special, and introducing us to David and Carles’ catalogue definitely was. We fell in love with their sound which covers a wide spectrum from IDM to Techno while keeping a deep and hypnotic touch that makes it unique and recognisable at first listen. Meeting David for the first time during our June De School gathering simply confirmed that Iro Aka deeply shared the vision, values and mindset that make Polychrome, and laid the basis for a friendship both on and off the dance floors.

When harmony in sound and passion ties  two artists, it leads to beautiful results. David and Carles are in sync, and living in two different cities did not get in the way of their vision and work ethic. We keep on being amazed by the level of consistency in their creative process, from their already rich catalogue, latest critically acclaimed (and simply incredible) Planet Earth album on @hivern_disc , to their super well curated and executed selections. It forces the attention.

Iro Aka transports us in a tunnel of hypnotism and deep psychedelia carried by polyrhythms, floating subtle melodies and acid sounds. This recording perfectly captures the duo’s psilocybine infused sound, driving and mind opening. A real trip that we are so happy to share with you. Enjoy 🍄

Krokakai is a DJ and producer from Glasgow, Scotland who also heads Artificial Horizon Records. Playing anything from dub and industrial to funk and balearic beats, from tribal sci-fi rave to new wave electro and then powering onwards to almost industrial sounding slo-mo techno - his sets often bounce between various styles to keep your attention locked in. His sensational production, especially a track called Bodhran Beat, which was released on Invisible Inc, conquered tracklists of DJ’s all over the world. It’s not a secret that we’re also fans of this track. Let’s see what this talented guy is going to produce for us in near future, while listening to a podcast he has selected for us. Enjoy!

DJ, label manager, graphic designer and general dandy-about-town GK Machine aka Gordon Mackinnon has been pursuing his numerous artistic ventures for the better part of two and a half decades.

Currently operating Invisible Inc records since 2015, the label specialises in psychedelic oddities catering towards aficionados of something a little more cosmic. Whether the music be ambient, tropical disco, new wave industrial techno or space rock, that psychedelic edge is always there. 

GK Machine has himself been DJing in clubs, bars, illegal raves, boat parties and secluded beaches for more than half his life...each set different from the last. January 2019 marked his 25th anniversary of getting behind the decks. 

A diverse producer, GK Machine has released 12”s, EPs, albums and tracks for labels such as Hoga Nord, Sonic Cathedral, Huntleys & Palmers, Paradise Palms and of course his own Invisible Inc Recordings under numerous aliases including The Poncho Brothers, Immaculate Rivombo, Strange Culture, Legion Of Light, The Mamba, and Delta Girls plus collaboratively as the ethno-space-dub-gamelan project Komodo Kolektif.

Serenades Podcast #104 - D.Yaroslav

Kiara Scuro were back live with their guest Señora. Due to lockdown Rosie from KS played the first hour of the show and brought a bag of new tracks from  Mannequin Records, Adam Pits and a new track from Nadia, the other half of KS, under her Zaa Zaa production alias, with Kincaid. Berlin Based producer and DJ Señora took the second half of the show, bringing more of the same percussive, leftfield and new wave tracks.

But as always we believe in music and new talents, so much so that we give this privilege to a guy we've been following for a while. An artist who is moving well by making thick releases, without having to expose himself at all costs. We have always liked to research the new characters of the scene and we are happy to introduce you Joseph Tagliabue. 
Tagliabue is a music selector and producer based in Milan. He is currently a leading figure in the alternative cultural Italian scene. His meticulous musical research reflects an eclectic style characterized by an Italian attitude wich is the expression of the love for his land and its traditions. Tracing a music-temporal path that comes from ethnic rhythms and popular songs mixed with contemporary electronics and experimental sounds. He takes inspiration from the environment that surrounds him and breaks down the boundaries between the genres, blending its musical influences and reinterpreting its origins with a propensity towards the future. He offers refined, evocative and always different emotional performances, tailormade to the audience without ever abandoning his own music identity.
