I have always been a big fan of Third Son’s great talents for wriBng experimental music.
Every Bme he sends me new music its exciBng to dive into his sound-scape, always full of arBstry and nice liHle surprises you weren’t expecBng as is the case here.
On the “Tribute EP” release you get 2 extra-ordinary tracks that have been really doing some damage on the floor during both Joseph's (Third Son), and my sets recently.
Tribute is the more instant of the package. The huge bassline carries the track with a very
cool layer of random notes running up and down its spine.
This is the kinda thing that makes Third Son stand out from the rest. Those wicked producBon ideas that are perfectly executed.
Milsom is a powerful and hypnoBc journey that capBvated me from the very first listen
and i just love the way the arp paHern starts running during the breakdown.
The arrangement of this track is a bit more quirky than on Tribute but thats part of why it works and sounds so special.
I hope you can dive into the music and love these Third Son tracks as much as I do.

Chris Veron is a passionate DJ and techno producer from Freiburg, grew up near Frankfurt, and since then mid-90s has grown deep with electronic music and the scene. Chris has made a name for himself well beyond the tri-border region and emblematic electronic blood flows through his veins. This can be felt and seen on each of his gigs and is also reflected in his productions.
Now he is back on Lauter Unfug with a Stunning Techno EP including a Rafael Cerato Remix.

Dear Deer have already made a huge impact in 2019 and they continue their fine run of form with a brand new EP that finds Alexandros Djkevingr link with Greg Ignatovich for two new tracks. Ben Coda also turns out a remix to complete a fine package.

Opener Year 2086 is a tense bit of techno with dramatic synths and real edgy sense of atmosphere that keeps you locked. It will make a real mark in a big warehouse, while Sniffs and Swallows is more in a deeper, eerier house mode. It has vast rolling kicks and spine tingling synths bringing a dystopian feel to the heavy drums. Last of all, Ben Coda remixes this one into something melodic and epic, with expansive synths rippling through the sky and spaced out vibes ruling the airwaves.

This is another vital EP from this essential label.

Alexandros Djkevingr, Greg Ignatovich - Year 2086 (Original Mix)

Welcome Moritz Hofbauer. The title track „Swallow Some Joy“ with vocals by Johannes Frick is a straight forward tune with a thought-out arrangement and a lot of details.

„Luminous Water“ is more functional and comes with nice shuffling hihats and percussions. „Desert Rose“ rounds off the release and has a dark and technoid attitude.
