Just a few months after EdOne purveyed his own reinterpretation to
Ivory & Auggie’s leaden prototype, demonstrating a fine
comprehension of “Basic Rhythm,” he returns on MoBlack Records,
now alongside Martin HERRS, and INVŌKER on remix duties, with
“Tatalina.” On A side, the Spaniards delicately unfold a poignant
sojourn that wanders and diffuses the rims of isolation and
belonging. The tender, 6:28 minute aural escapade starts off with a
simple ingress, pummeled by an inquisitive bassline into a gripping
melodic procession. Tatalina escalates to a euphoric stillness
transcended by haunting piano chords, but breaks free when
intermittently disrupted by deep synthetic pulsations, evoking the
frailty of memory and vulnerability of emotion.
French rising star INVŌKER deploys his empowered rendition of the
title track, pulling a bit less feeling from emotion and a little more
feeling from sense. Tension and groove pull and reverb in this
particular tug of play, where space is dark, energy is incandescent
and the texture of sound is moist and locomotive. MB384 sits in the
juncture of memory, motion and emotion, a pursuit of that fleeting
moment that is only present in one instant, as well as an attempt to
prolong its existence through sound.

Starting off the bunch of releases under the name “Save the Night”, the 4-track Ep titled “Moments” refers to those times where we would dance through friday nights. The first track “Rom” by Monkey Safari puts you in a foggy afterhour vibe around 6 am. A relentlessly playing guitarloop and trippy vocals are playing over a minimalistic drumset. ”Midnight Sun” is track #2. A dramatic masterpiece brought to us by the duo Avidus, providing their signature mix of carefully selected percussion elements, haunting melodies and goosebumps. Philipp Harms takes care of track number 3 and melts a harmonic synthesizer jam with a broken beat which takes you on a journey through your deepest dream states. Last but not least Rauschhaus finishes off the EP with a progressive house banger. “Leucosia” is a 7 and a half minute journey designed to drive dancefloors into a state of ecstasy. Die Tracks kommen von Freunden und Familie des Clubs und wurden zur Verfügung gestellt, um die finanziellen Einbußen, die aufgrund der andauernden Covid-19 Situation entstanden und weiterhin entstehen, etwas zu kompensieren. Die Compilation beinhaltet Songs von Künstlern wie Monkey Safari, Till von Sein und vielen anderen Künstlern, und wird häppchenweise in Form von EPs mit jeweils 4-5 songs veröffentlicht. Kauf diese Compilation und rette wortwörtlich die Nacht sowie eine der ältesten Institutionen der deutschen Clubszene.

After almost 20 years of club business and countless nights of dancing under mirror balls, Luna Club, which is based in Kiel, brings together a selection of music from its family and friends, to make up for the financial losses due to the ongoing Covid-19 situation. Rauschhaus - Leucosia

'The latest release from Tash's Movement Recordings welcomes Circle of Life back for a new EP. The Serbian artist made his label debut just over a year ago with the well received 'Black Light'. A subsequent remix for Trapped In Time along with a contribution to the label's popular 'Technical Progress, Vol. 10' collection followed shortly thereafter. Also finding a home on Beat Boutique, BeatFreak Recordings, Suara and Sudbeat Music, Circle of Life now returns to Movement with 'Lpd' alongside remixes from Paul Anthonee and Haze-M.

Beginning with the title track you get an immediate feel for Circle of Life's unique hybrid of progressive house and techno. Punchy beats and muscular basslines set the piece in motion as ominous effects and sinister arps flow through the framework. Rough and rumbling in all the right ways, the first act smoothly segues into a tense break, where timely modulation and a rush of noise sparks a commanding drop and rousing finale. The companion piece 'Nostalgija' finds Circle of Life diversifying his portfolio further in collaboration with 'Damiana'. It proves to be a worthy complement to its predecessor with a wondrous array of dark undertones and astral synth stylings. Ghostly vocal wails sit gently under the surface as the piece builds through waves of arpeggiated rhythms and rolling percussion. Tense harmonics lead into the second of two breaks, eventually melting down to a dramatic rumble as the beats drop for a driving final movement.

The first interpretation of 'Lpd' is provided by label artist Paul Anthonee who returns for his eighth appearance. The Cyprus based artist last appeared on the Greek imprint in August of this year with a well received remix of Kostakis 'Ithaca'. Also finding a home on Beatfreak Recordings, Parquet Recordings, Steyoyoke and Suara, Paul now returns to Movement Recordings with a powerful interpretation of 'Lpd'. Always a creative remixer, Paul adds a symphonic feel to the piece with striking synth staccatos and growling effects. Rife with dance floor dynamics, a perfectly executed break sees tension and drama rise, building copious amounts of energy for a commanding drop and exhilarating finale.'
