Amount and Tiefgeist team up for EP number twenty on Heimlich Musik, col- laborating between Munich and Berlin to deliver two fresh original mixes with @arutani and Lukas Endhardt on remix duty. Beam Me Up is a reduced version of slowed-down house with cosmic synth lines building upon a foundation of analog drums and an energetic bassline. Reise durch den Äther takes a darker path based on a hypnotic synth structure inspired by Dub Techno with psyche- delic accents floating along with the arrangement. While Arutani’s interpretation of Beam Me Up makes use of his emotional signature style somewhere between melancholia and euphoria, Lukas Endhardt’s remix of Reise durch den Äther is full of energy with a banging bassline and trippy elements strongly inspired by the original’s main synth theme. Amount and Tiefgeist’s Beam Me Up EP is a modern interpretation of classic genres of electronic music with vintage vibes and a pinch of Bavarian beer.

Dear Reader,
It’s rare that I find the moment for a long walk on a Saturday night. Last weekend I fortunately did or better: The moment found me and so I found myself walking through empty side streets of Berlin, listening to upcoming music of Oceanvs Orientalis and Wide Awake. Both are following different paths, both are very beautiful and both proof that finally we’re done with the abuse of certain instruments. For now it seems the disguised devils are defeated and we are ready to move on to the next level. But don’t you worry, the next hype is just waiting around the corner!
At 5 in the morning my physical journey led me to Kraftwerk Berlin for Maerzmusik-Festival, where I lay down on one of the camp beds they provided. What a treat! I was taken far away by the music and had some transcendental moments that made me want to send out my fondest regards to you.
A little bit earlier, last week, I finally managed to finalise and let go a lot of new and old tracks, ready to be released in the coming months (or years). Today I happened to find another track that I don’t need to keep in my personal drawers anymore. 
The working title „New Year“ suggests it happend around NYE, probably eight years ago.
I almost decided to keep the title, as to me it feels like a new year is just starting now, but when I saw these words on the wall, I thought that might be the right name for the song. 
It’s free. And you don’t even need to like me to download it.

How Long Is Now

For the past ten years now, I’ve celebrated my birthdays by inviting all my favorite cats to play – we started off at Kater Holzig before moving to our home at Kater Blau in 2015. For the first time since it started, and for obvious reasons, 43 Katzen tanzen auf’m Tisch won’t be happening, on what would have been the tenth anniversary of the series.
I’ve been wondering for a while now how I can make up for the missed year - streams already feel a bit outdated, and you just can’t imagine the vibe of the event without actually being there, getting beautifully lost in those days and nights, hugging old friends and making new ones. You can’t even explain that feeling, so you definitely can’t live-stream it.
Instead, this year 43 Katzen tanzen auf’m Tisch will be a compilation of some of the amazing artists from the past ten years, and even some of the new faces I would have booked this year. In a way, it’s the perfect souvenir of all the nights we’ve had so far, and an idea of what to look forward to in all the nights to come at Kater Blau somewhere in the future.

Laut & Luise releases carefully selected music on vinyl, individually touched and underlined by a special and characteristic artwork in order to give back at least some love.

Luise herself provides dance music, calm and dubby, still with a definite focus on house and techno.

Aside from the main label, our younger imprint Luettje Luise is meant to be a playground for sounds beyond genres and borders, trying to stay open-minded like daddy Ernst Jandl was.

What is the opposite of little? Lost. A new little sub by Laut & Luise, limited to nothing but a digital playback device and labeled with a mouse crafted artwork. Lost in Luise, for the digital natives and the internet explorers.
