Currently based in and native to Washington, DC, Znorthy was first introduced to electronic music via their older sister, a raver in the nations capital during the first decade of the 2000s. At an early age, Znorthy was introduced to Limewire and began using racing video game soundtracks as a gateway to building their own electronic music library. When they got to high school, they became heavily entrenched in DC's emerging hip-hop scene where they got some of their first nightlife experiences at warehouse rap shows. Around this time, they got their first bookings playing hip-hop and future club at various art shows in the DC area. While at college in New York, their DJ career ebbed and flowed. However, around 2020 they rediscovered their love for electronic dance music and once they graduated, they began to take DJing more seriously. Since then, Znorthy has joined @140.plus, @fwb_dc and @xuntuntuntunt as a resident DJ, and can be found playing around DC at Jimmy Valentine's Lonely Hearts Club, and Safari Lounge, and the few other nightlife venues available in the area.

Jett & Ken Lazee join forces to bring you LAVA, a new monthly radio show that highlights talent in the underground music scene of the DMV & beyond. The show's name is inspired by the New Lunar Year of the Wood Dragon which foretells a year of prosperity, and good fortune. The name is also symbolic of fire energy and the melting pot of talent that is abundant in our community. With such a long history of being part of the growth of the DC dance music scene, and working with such amazing talent, what better way than to showcase it on the airwaves. Jett, brings their broken-beat, multigenre, risky sets along with the ever-changing and colorful sounds of Ken Lazee.
