This is my first LP that I've put out after 4 years of music production. I put a lot of time and emotion into this project and I hope it's received well. I went through a lot of changes in my life over the time this was in the works and ultimately I feel as though this album is reflective of that.

VULNERABLE

The lyric is an extract from "The Rime of the Ancient Mariner" by Coleridge
It is an amazing epic poem. It seems to me that it is an allegorical warning about the unintended consequences of cavalier interference in natural systems. Or it may just be about an old sailor.

Although inspired by the novel "Cage Of Souls", I found myself reflecting on chess games with my Uncle Peter... As far as my Aunty knew, these games were the only times he ever reflected on his experience as a POW (he was captured by the Japanese army in the second world war). He was a mild and gentle Scot, but his chess was brutal!
