The last 6 months or so I've been rather picky on what gigs to accept as I'm devoting all my time to Kubbi material, studies and other projects. In March I was invited to do a track for this new and very promising project called INDIEBOX and these guys instantly caught my attention.

For the IndieBox package of May, I wrote this little jam based on the soundtracks and themes from this month's game "Teslagrad". A lovely game with lovely music and, seeing the producers are norwegian, how could I say no to such fun work?

Keep Calm (work in progress version)

Tidligere i år gav jeg ut en norsk sang som jeg ofte synger i formelle anledninger som f.eks bryllup - da ofte bare med gitar eller piano som komp. 
Jeg facineres stadig over hvor mye sterkere et publikum reagerer når man stripper en sang helt ned og forkuserer på tekst og formidling. 
Særlig når man synger sanger folk vanligvis hører på engelsk. Dette er et veldig enkelt og umikset onetake jeg gjorde i studio på tre kvarter en dag da idéen om en norsk verjson av akkurat denne låten kom til meg. Orginalen er rask, catchy og funky - men teksten er vond og ærlig. 
I min versjon er meningen bak ordene akkurat det samme, men alt av funkyness og "krydder" er borte. Og jeg synger på norsk. Går meningen bak ordene inn på en annen måte da?
DET vil jeg finne ut! Kommenter gjerne - men husk; dette er et "work in progress", så vær snille :)
