Virginia is a breeding ground to some of the most talented artists of the 21st century, and Black Baethoven certainly fits the mold quite well. A musician, DJ, entertainer and creator from Richmond, Virginia, Thoven has been spinning records since 2013. He has a variety of experience with studio production and engineering, recording, and music education. Baethoven graduated from the University of Virginia in May of 2016, obtaining a Bachelor’s degree in Music, with a focus in theory and composition. During his time at UVA, he worked with various artists on many levels and stages, including household names like Travis Scott and J. Cole. Thoven also birthed his record label, LawFirm Productions, during his time at UVA. He has since released three solo projects and one collaboration mixtape under the scope of LFP. In more recent years, Baethoven has spent much of his time perfecting his craft and performing on various stages around the world. He currently resides in Pattaya, Thailand.

Black Baethoven makes music to inspire. His vision is to empower listeners with knowledge and wisdom, using modern hip-hop techniques to appeal to today’s youth. Thoven’s voice has a rich, soulful sound with other notable influences rooted in neo-soul, jazz, and funk. For Baethoven, the most satisfying part of making music is knowing that he personally contributed to making someone's day better by sharing this beautiful gift.
