A supercharged full tank of energy! Like a slap in your face is what we get from "Funnily Enough". This first EP pushes us into a staggering UK garage universe. Pedal to the metal it swiftly lets us pinched by four bumpy tracks firmly cut out for clubs. The whole lot tells us about the close relations Lawir maintains with electronic music. Rushing off like a shot with the magical recipe of "Some Of That", carrying on with "Voices In My Mind" an inward-looking tribute to his house music first loves, then pulling out the pin of the explosive "Wicked" to finish on a siren background with the smiley vibe of the project: the eponymous title "Funnily Enough".
