Halloween is here and with it my project for 2021 – A live cover of ‘Day and Night’ from the beautiful horror tales of Shiki. 🧛This piece also dwells on similar progressions from the song Epitaph and I focused on these with the string section…🤔hmm far from perfect as I don’t play well with a metronome sooo… the arps aren’t always at a steady pace and I play by ‘feeling’ the music, obviously not to everyone’s taste and that is o.k. 😊 The original soundtrack cannot be improved but I’m hoping this may compliment the original masterpiece nonetheless. With this one, I focused mainly on the atmosphere and general ambiance of the track. It may not sound it but many layers were used. There is a melody, although its only minimal. I tried to minimise the 'cheese' factor with this one.
