Lazy Days is proud to introduce you a new artist to the family, Lay-Far. Discovered recently with his Double Vinyl Album, “So Many Ways”, we reached out to the Russian producer to get some original music for the label. A quick reply led to this 3 track EP landing in our inbox. “New Day, New Light” opens the EP with an uplifting vibe, thanks to its great String sample hook. “Thru” follows with a lively Jazz-Funk influenced number that reminds us of early Svek Records. “If Only The Time” leaves us on a good note by slowing the tempo down but keeping the energy up. We hope you enjoy this first outing from our new friend Alexander Lay-Far and hope to bring you more of his music in a near future.

The masked hero comes back after the LP with a 3 tracks EP landing in the summertime and it’s yet again worth the wait, as it brings back hints of that nu-disco house music we learnt to love but together with a new touch. “006A1” is the opening tune which is a funky view on the dancefloor with hints of blissful acid grooves and a meticulous structured arrangement, for club use only. "A2" is pertinent to the mood of the side A and it's a slower but solid groove with smooth vocals that come in without warning. A more classic approach to end the first part. B side is surely a masterpiece, a 11 minutes track taking over the whole side with a trippy approach containing so many musical inputs; throughout the whole composition we can hear how scrupulous is the sound research that the artist made, from sound design, to sampling and structuring, and the groove itself exploding in a mix of world music-afrofunk- beat belter, with the vocals giving it a touch of a tribal dance. A track to remember which surely lifts the level of the whole EP. A track we are, amongst the others, proud to release on our own label (@Apparel-Music). APLWAX006 is landing, so fasten your seat belts, because this is one to remember.
