INTRO
Welcome to TSCOTY: ScratchProne, a project I’ve been working on to “redo” the TSCOTY saga from ground one. After a bunch of trepidation, I think it’s worth it. A lot of TSCOTY I just cannot stand to look at or think about, and I want to revisit it for the purposes of making things right. It’s left such a bad taste in my mouth. 

THE ROSTER
For those who know the OG TSCOTY roster, i.e. R1-era, exactly 6 slots have been changed. Additionally, many roster slots have been revamped for new vibes or focuses (most notably Bizly). 

THE OTHER GUYS
The intruders (Daisy, Astray Kids, MissingFriends and Spider Furry) are all somewhere betweeen 50-100% the same. For the bosses, Sonichu’s replaced, but the real tragedy is Platy is ALSO getting replaced. Despite how much I enjoyed working with him, he doesn’t fit cleanly into the new lore. Hopefully the replacements for those two are just as fun. I don’t think any other bonuses/bosses/extras will be changed significantly, but that’s still up in the air. 

THE BRACKET / THE LORE
It’s literally the same as the original TSCOTY bracket. Every single roster slot’s success has not been changed, who was in the slot has for several. There are also a decent amount of lore changes, just to fit the new roster. I’m not spoiling anything though, there’s some cool stuff planned.

THE TRACKS
No tracks will be deleted. However, every single TSCOTY playlist will be rebranded and have 100% of their tracks removed. You’ll still be able to find these tracks via search, your likes, other non-official playlists, etc. While somewhat inconvenient, this is far from the worst possible option and I think it’s the best way of both keeping the past and resetting for the future. Not to mention, a lot of old tracks suck. Many of which will be getting remasters. No tracks will be replaced in terms of file. I’m not remaking every single old track, especially not filler duals/solos, that sounds like absolute hell. All new tracks for R1 have been done, as of now. 

WHAT ABOUT DT?
Almost everything for DT’s Inferno Round 1 has been done for a while now, and I’d like to alternate between doing a round of DT and a round of TSCOTY: ScratchProne. Don’t worry, DT isn’t getting cancelled, just pseudo-postponed. I’m hoping to make these both half-priority instead of just not focusing on one for the other.

FINAL THOUGHTS
TSCOTY has meant a lot to me, it’s always meant to have been a tribute to my various inspirations and interests. However, it’s legacy has been somewhat tarnished.
