'Atomic' kicks things off with an intense arpeggio lead, a driving 1/16th bassline and straight forward drums.

'High' is a more laidback track, perfect to build the set with.

'Dance' is another peaktime affair, an offbeat-centric bassline, catchy vocal and energetic synth hook make this a sure dancefloor pleaser.

Romanian artist Dorroo is back on Intec for his third release on the label having last featured on the imprint in 2013 with his solo track Automatic. Dorroo has a longstanding relationship with Carl Cox, and even did an exclusive remix of Carls track See You Again that was featured as part of the mix compilation celebrating the 25th Anniversary of Space Ibiza. Along with his music signed to Intec other labels to feature Dorroo tracks include Teggno Records and his own Crado Recordings. The dark atmosphere and rippling synths of The Cave build with a brooding intensity. Understated and ferocious, this menacing cut of techno has a twisted sound perfect for peak time plays. Track two Warehouse has a gritty style with hints of acid and pulsating rhythms. With a classic sound the title tips its hat to the warehouse party era of techno from which this tracks takes its influence. Finishing with the wonky synth stabs of Undershow the release arguably saves its best till last, and closes the release with a distinctive track that has hard hitting percussion blended with a distinctively quirky melody.

Main premises for the 3rd chapter of Whack imprint ‘chronicles’ is about the assumption that the technologies and cultures of many ancient and more advanced civilizations were given to us –B.C.- by former astronauts or intelligent beings who were welcomed as gods.

Durtysoxxx’s music on “Space Gods” swells with mysterious vocals coated in layers of rich aural stabs and powerful techno-kicks. American producer - Funk'n Deep label owner, who also released on Phobiq or Noir- perfectly controls the euphoria and darkness of his energetic sound, not at all timorous for the dance floor. An original track designed for the most demanding clubbers all over the universe.

The release is completed by an extra-terrestrial rework by Whack’s head-honcho Aitor Ronda which dives into heavier yet smoother territory. The sonic environment of the track embodies this well, teetering on the edge of the laser sword that separates 90’s trance-induced groove and immortal dub-techno stabs delays and crispy hi-hats.

Mathias Kaden returns to Rekids with four-track EP ‘Control Your Mind’, featuring a remix from Marcel Dettmann.

Previously appearing on Rekids in 2019 with his ‘Liberate Drums’ EP, Mathias Kaden makes his second appearance on Radio Slave aka Matt Edwards’ label with four original tracks of razor sharp material, as well as a remix from Berghain resident Dettmann.

‘Control Your Mind’ opens with the impeccably produced title track, an electro flecked roller. Featuring hypnotic synth work and subtle automated inflections, the cut effortlessly glides, peppered with the occasional titular vocal refrain from Sven Väth puncturing the groove. Shifting into 4/4 territory is ‘Conviction’, a restrained but stunningly effective track that makes full use of memorable off-beat synth stabs and shimmering 909 percussion to constantly drive the track forward.

On the flip, Berghain resident Marcel Dettmann turns up the heat with his remix of ‘Control Your Mind’. Filtering the vocals, the MDR and BAD MANNERS boss also delivers a resonant bassline that works in tandem with knocking percussion, as creeping pads morph and evolve over the duration of the track, creating a trippy and propulsive banger.

Classic dub techno aesthetics are front and centre in ‘Substance’, a track destined for the golden hours between late at night and early in the morning, while finishing the package in fine style, the digital only ‘Anticipation’ showcases Kaden’s skill in crafting a killer peak time track, adding a welcome bonus of yet another weapon for USBs worldwide.
