“Big Up Yaself” is the new single from Laytin. As the lead single for a new project, he knew he needed a big, jumpy, and fun single. What's ironic is how the time period in which the song was written and recorded, Laytin was in a very dark time. He didnt feel good about himself musically at all…  But he thought if he created a fun, happy lil song, it could make him feel better about himself, and it worked. “Big Up Yaself” is about motivating yourself to be better, and feeling good about yourself no matter what anybody said. Its reggae and dancehall elements come from Laytins Jamaican roots, and with his iconic written lyrics, he knew he had a great song and knew he wanted this to be the lead single from his upcoming project.

Laytin is a 18 year old artist from Piscataway New Jersey. Growing up , he has always had a dream to sing and dance on a stage infront of people. Although he had to face a lot. A lot of haters , his own friends not believing in him , and personal struggles in his own life , he still continues to thrive and make his own music. He released his first mixtape “Destiny” in December 2020,  his second mixtape “The Destined Breakthrough” in August 2021, his third mixtape “The Rainbow Children” in May 2022, and his first EP "Heartbreaker" in March 2023. With hit songs like “Lost” , “World Equality” , “Express” , “Bad Guy”, "Big Up Yaself" and more, He is inspired by the likes of Michael Jackson , Prince , Madonna, Lady Gaga, Nicki Minaj, Mariah Carey, Whitney Houston, Tina Turner, and Selena Quintanilla.
