laytrel was born in north east D.C, on february 27th, 1993. Laytrel faced many hardships witnessing alot at a young age growing up in a house of ten. Soon moved to south Baltimore by the age of 12 because of living circumstances. Relocating to cherry hill which is one of the toughest lving environments in Baltimore Laytrel found peace and comfort within his own home.
Imagination is what kept him focused through many struggles he faced. As a young boy he never payed to much attention in class he was busy filling up notebooks with lyrics. Laytrel started with poetry and soon picked up a guitar where his music career started. Laytrel loved to lay down guitar chords alongside his dad who played drums.
Laytrel soon fell in love with hip hop after learning to use word play and creating metaphors no one else could think of. Laytrel music became more personal growing up because of his experiences with life. His music started to consist of personality, personal feelings, thoughts, and beliefs. Music is the only think to keep the young artist sane and on the right track. After his closes sibling was murdered Laytrel found himself even more focused and willing to reach even greater heights.
