In the midst of the increasingly popular house music hurricane comes a fresh two track EP from one of the movement’s most promising talents, Richy Ahmed. Taking cues from hip-hop, techno, funk and disco, ‘The Drums’ EP arrives on the 2nd of December via Hot Creations.

Just stretching his limbs in terms of his discography, in less than two years the London-based producer has gathered some series attention. From 2011’s slinky, deep house mover 'Suck It' (Hot Creations) to his 80's chicago manipulation remix of Infinity Ink's 'Infinity', there’s always an enviable glisten about his work. His wizardry behind the decks lead to him being named resident DJ at DC10's Paradise this summer with the season coming to an end in late September.

'The Drums' got its maiden plays during Richy's Boiler Room Set and the takeovers of Paradise Ibiza. The EP steps out of the blocks with definite verve. Title track, 'The Drums', a hip-house barnstormer of a track it massages a buttery-smooth rolling bassline into a four-to-the-floor backdrop with contagious results. Legend, Kevin Knapp, jumps on vocal duty dropping in and out with praise to 'the drums'. On the flip side, '101 Jam' is a rolling analogue slice of deep house brilliance. Here, Richy pitches skittering hi-hats and hyperactive synth movements atop a robust bassline foundation. It proves homage to the brand of house celebrated right from the genre’s genesis.

wAFF makes a welcomed return to Hot Creations with three original cuts on his mighty ‘Fat Gash EP’.
Playfully named after his best friend, title track ‘Fat Gash’ is a dancefloor monster with highly infectious vocals, while ‘Shabby’ has powerful keys, sonic builds and rolling percussions. Over on the flip ‘Connected’ is a high energy hitter with smooth vocals and a serious party vibe.

Since releasing his “Rainbows EP’ on Hot Creations in 2012 and following with a number of successful releases and remixes, wAFF has become a staple part of the crew playing with the likes of Jamie Jones, Lee Foss and Richy Ahmed all over the world and is now entering into his third year as resident at DC10 for Paradise. Jimmy is a prominent rising talent who’s DJ skills has seen him grace the decks with many World famous names including Steve Lawler, wAFF, Russ Yallop, Dyed Soundorom to name a few. Working for one of the World’s most recognised names in Dance music, Sankeys, Jimmy hosts his own night in room 2 in the Manchester based club once a month, plus is also a resident for London’s premier event Abode. He’s also played at Magna Carta, Saved, Tribal Sessions and VIVa Warriors plus many more at some of the most illustrious clubbing venues across the UK including EGG, Sankeys, Studio 338 and Gorilla, Manchester. Last year saw Jimmy play at several festivals include WeAre FSTVL, Art of Sound and Groovebox.

Taking inspiration from the likes of Wade, wAFF, Richy Ahmed and Rhadow, Jimmy is fast becoming a name to remember.

Mike Jones began his career in dance music at a very early age after hearing House music for the first time. He quickly began a love affair with the music that inspired his confidence creating a thirst for more. Working tirelessly, he set out to find a platform to showcase his skills both in the studio and behind the decks within the North West underground scene.

In 2014, Mike DJ’d at some of the UK’s biggest club including Avici White and illustrious Sankeys in Manchester supporting the likes of Roger Sanchez, Him_Self_Her, Clive Henry, Russ Yallop and many more.

Mike’s productions have recently attracted the attention of Amine Edge & DANCE completing a remix for the famous French duo’s label CUFF.

Jimmy Switch & Mike Jones have releases on Disco Electronica, Melted, Now&Thn & NERD Records to name a few with acts like Kreature, Amine Edge & DANCE and Freeman & Farrelly supporting and playing their records.

The pairs’ productions have caught the attention of several leading figures within Dance music and will see them both DJ in Ibiza this summer for the first time.

This brilliant remix was originally done as a secret weapon for Subb-an, Noir and a few close dj-friends to play out and surprise the crowds around the globe.
After handing out private copies to a few selected djs we ended up with enormous support on this remix from:
Seth Troxler, Jamie Jones, Radioslave, Art Department, Pete Tong, Dubfire,
Matthew Dear, Tiefschwarz, Butch, Gorge, Jimpster, Sasha,Reboot, Deetron,

At DC10's closing party at Ibiza the Subb-an Remix was played no less than 3 times and the crowd was ecstatic each time. And after the YouTube video of Seth Troxler & Jamie Jones playing the track that specific night surfaced we have now ended up with a huge buzz and demand for this track to be released.
