Thank u to everyone, who made this possible and for your trust to let me tell a story for three full hours!

To be transparente: I am still on site making my shifts, talking nonsense at our gala show on Saturday at FKK beach and getting lost in a good way on Sunday and Monday with my lovely friends. But we do have wlan here now so I can share my set already 🤯

Oh wow what a magic ride - When we entered the stage of Sonnendeck we were so nervous because it was already soo packed. But when we saw all of your beautifully created dancing sticks and happy faces smiling at us all the nervous feelings turned into pure bliss and joy. Thanks to all our friends and everyone who showed up and danced with us. We feel very honored to have experienced this with you and will never forget this beautiful ride from the sunset into the night.

Woaah, that was quiet intense! Thanks for all the people who danced with me through the rain, I really enjoyed this special closing at this lovely festival! 

Thanks to @sahrabass for writing and recording the lovely intro story for the set and the outro track (which we developed together for last years @bassaramusic gig - we hope to release that soon!). 

Lots of love to @iva-bodul for beeing such a good travel buddy, helping me when preparing my set, giving me feedback and drinks, dancing, laughing and everything <3! 

Thanks to all the artists which I had the fun of collaborating with (@lask_aa, @iva-bodul, @latenightjockelsession, @seniorcitizen_wav and some more) or whose work I used for my edits!

When we arrived on sunday, it was all (still) a summer(nights) dream on the island and I enjoyed checking out all the places (and especially the funky float I should do the closing on on monday). As the weather forecasts seem to manifest on some heavy temperature drop and rain, I was a little bit nervous how that will work out with the setting on/by the water.
When I woke up on monday I read the message that my gig was moved to the Creatures Corner - which was in fact the best thing that could happen to me (so for that - thanks to the weather gods ;)). I really love that stage, the crew who build it, the soundsystem and the whole setting <3!

Einen schöneren Sommerabschluss hätte ich mir nicht vorstellen können! Wenn die ganze Berliner Bubble + gern gesehene Anhänge sich auf Klassenfahrt auf eine wunderschöne Insel in Polen begeben, um ein Wochenende gebührend zu feiern, dann kann das ja nur extrem schön werden! Die Sonne hat nochmal alles gegeben, die Stimmung war mehr als ausgelassen und die Stages und Lichtkonzepte waren einfach ein Traum. Ja, schöner hätte es einfach nicht sein können.

🤘 Melbo & Falke present Afterhour Sounds Podcast Nr. 300 🤘

Yeah!!! Für unser kleines Jubiläum konnten wir keinen Geringeren als die Beiden Zuckerschnutten vom Südpol gewinnen. Anschnallen es wird wild, schmußig und vor allem bunt. Also all das, was unserer Meinung nach her auf eine perfekte Afterhour gehört.

Anbei natürlich wie immer unser kleines aber feines Interview:

✔️ Was sind eure musikalischen Einflüsse? 

In unseren Elternhäusern wurde damals schon dieselbe Musik gehört – hauptsächlich Rock n‘ Roll. Wir sind beide große Indie Fans, aber als wir anfingen in Clubs zu gehen (Mel in Wien und David in Hamburg) fühlten wir uns mehr und mehr zu Minimal / Deep House und Tech House hingezogen. Mittlerweile sind uns rollende Basslines wichtig und unser Fokus liegt stark auf Dynamik, egal ob wir Indie Dance, House oder Tech House spielen, am liebsten alles zusammen.

✔️ Was macht eurer Meinung nach her eine gute Afterhour aus?

Eine gelungene Afterhour ist irgendwie zwischen einem provisorischen Dancefloor und maximaler Gemütlichkeit.

Die Menschen um einen rum, spielen, nebst der Musik, eine wichtige Rolle. Mel braucht außerdem genügend Utensilien, um Rave-Hüte zu bauen, während David Kette raucht. Bei uns gibt es oft so genannte „Banger-Runden“, wo jede anwesende Person einen „Banger-Track“ oder auch einen Classic Goldie in die Playlist schieben darf. So bleibt die Runde schön dynamisch und jede Person kann von sich etwas reinbringen.

✔️ Welche Gedanken mögt ihr uns zu eurem Mix mit auf den Weg geben? 

Dieses Mal freuen wir uns besonders, einen Mix zu veröffentlichen, der so facettenreich ist, wie wir uns eine gute Afterhour vorstellen. Wir laden euch ein, mit uns auf eine Reise zu gehen: Ob ihr locker rumschwoft, euch entspannt zurücklehnt und lauscht, oder plötzlich die Energie spürt und ausgelassen zwischen an die Seite geschobenen Couchen tanzt.

Damit die Fusion 2019 gerade in diesem Moment stattfinden kann,  musste der Kulturkosmos und auch wir alle ganz schön kämpfen. Doch für „Die Freiheit der Kunst“ lohnt es sich einmal mehr aufzustehen und seine Stimme zu erheben … denn wir wollen uns unsere Kunst und Utopien nicht wegnehmen lassen.

Den Termin für diesen Podcast haben wir schon länger ausgemacht und er ist ganz zufällig auf den Fusion Termin gefallen. Als Frida und Judith mir dann den Mix geschickt haben, meinten sie „Da er zur Fusion raus kommt, haben wir uns ne kleine Sache überlegt und so eine Art "Fusion Special" gemacht (mit kleinen Pressekonferenz schnipseln am Anfang und Ende).“ Und weil die Fusion 2019 schon jetzt etwas ganz spezielles ist … wurde es auch hier ein Special. DANKE FUSION … Danke Kulturkosmos … Danke Fridi und Judi <3

Allen Fusionisten wünsch ich eine umwerfende und zauberhafte Fusion mit viel Freiheit und Kunst. Und meinen Hörer und allen die nicht auf die Fusion fahren hier nun eine wunderbare Stunde mit Frida und Judith.
