Walking Hand in Hand is my tip to those couples who have stood the test of time. The words every couple share “for better or worse” are usually never focused on “the worse” part of the journey of love. You only have to look at the divorce rate in the world to understand that. So, this song goes out to all the couples who last a lifetime with their original partner in this journey around the galaxy.

After 45 years of living in the "air", I decided to dust of the guitar and start imagining a path never followed. My goal with Lazlo's Gone is to share an experience I believe has passed, but needs to come back ... listening to an album from beginning to end. Creating an experience that takes the listener on a 40 minute journey musically.

I've teamed up with several superior musicians, and have become friends with them as they've helped me imagine a dream I could have never done without them.

Dennis Holt is now one of my dearest friends. His kindness and professional attitude have helped me rocket to success in achieving my goals, emphasis "goals" because that's the first step. He is one of Nashvilles most gifted musicians. He has recorded with Taylor Swift, Kansas a.d., Emmylou Harris, Trisha Yearwood, and Deniece Williams to name a few. He is my brother, and my drummer! Without him, I would have never met any of the other people in my band.

Chris Donohue, my bass player has had a long career recording and/or performing with the likes of Emmylou Harris, Tom Jones, Elvis Costello, Indigo Girls, Robert Plant, Shawn Colvin, Pete Seeger, Steve Earle and the list goes on. I love Chris, and you're going to love his bass playing on my songs.

Phil ("It's all about the soul") Madeira plays all my Hammond/Piano pieces. His friendship and professionalism fill in all the gaps, and I consider him a friend. He has played with the likes of Keb' Mo', Garth Brooks, and Amy Grant. He is the writer of the grammy winning song "From this Valley" with the Civil Wars. I love Phil, and you're going to love him on my songs.

Then there is Jon Conley, my love affair with an electric guitarist supreme! You are gonna hear Jon play banjo, fiddle, mandolin, among many other instruments on my albums. Jon is a true collaborator - as I release each album, you will see his influence, and I will share the private talks we had as songs came together in the recording studio. Every rock song he is on that I've written, I can honestly say I've written the song knowing he is going to paint a picture beyond my imagination. Jon currently is full-time with Kenny Chesney's band, but finds the time to fit me in, and I love him for it. He's played with Luke Combs, Taylor Swift, Hank Williams Jr., John Mayer, Lainey Wilson, Joe Walsh, Glen Campbell, Sammy Hagar, Steve Miller ... do I need to go on. Of course, Johnny Cash!

The ultra cool part of this experience and journey I'm embarking on  is supported by these gentlemen, but it doesn't stop there.

You will hear the McCrary Sisters on my first two albums "Feeling Blue", and "By the Way ..."

There beautiful voices make "Living in the USA" the song it needs to be, and their soulful melodies on "Take me to the River", well, just perfect! - again, thanks to Dennis Holt who said ... "You need the McCrary Sisters", and I said "Okay"

If you are a Blues, Rock n Roll, Gospel, Spiritual, or Bluegrass / Americana fan, then take a listen, but listen to the whole album beginning to end, because that's the experience. I want to surprise you on the journey you'll take for 40 minutes uninterrupted. 

Most artists are on a one-hit-wonder path, and I believe there is something lost in the art of creating music when that path is taken. In the '70's it was a true wonder to opened an album and put it on for the first time, listening to the whole album, reading the credits, judging each song, and being surprised at the variety of music a band could do on one album. But more importantly, creating an entire album of good songs.

My influences to name a few are Little Richard,The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, Cream, Hendrix, Joni Mitchell, Allman Brothers, YES, ELP, Genesis (Peter Gabriel), Bad Company, Led Zeppelin, Bruce Springsteen, John Coltrane, Thelonius Monk, Chick Corea, Steve Vai, Larry Carlton, Steely Dan. In modern times, Prince, Nirvana, Dr. Dre, EMINEM, and Soundgarden
