Inspired by the -early- Chemical Brothers stuff (loops of fury/exit planet dust/etc). I got a Korg Monotron a few months ago and I always recognized the MS20 sound on the early Chembro's stuff... so I knocked out a quick imitation of that periodic sound and then recorded some live Monotron lfo/filter tweaking on top of it. I'm entertained how quick I pulled it off (less than an hour) and how close it sounds. It started off as a demo for the Monotron, but I ended up liking it.. so here it is.

Monodub

Dugga, Monophonic Monorhythmic Repetition. Unison basslines weaving for existence. Been screwing with this format since Wire's The Drill EP came out. This is a live performance of that with a touch of acid. Korg Monotribe and Dave Smith Evolver are the synthsizers in use.

Fellow by the name of mortal1 added some improv ontop of Slow Slide using his custom "korg guitar" controller.  I found something charming about it that reminds me of 70s/early 80s synth acts (due to all the monosynth).
