PELADINHA foi o nome escolhido para o primeiro release, pois é conhecido na gíria como um jogo de futebol entre amigos, que na maior parte das vezes acaba em festa.
Pegando nesse conceito e remetendo à realidade musical, conseguiu-se a união perfeita entre Portugal e Brasil, unidos para a PELADINHA musical, jogada entre o Baile Funk, Afro House, Trap e Bass Music.
O resultado é um álbum capaz de fazer vibrar qualquer aficionado.

Here at Gqom Oh! we are proud to present our first ever solo artist EP and it comes in the form of Dominowe a 19 year old producer from the Newlands east township of Durban, South Africa who started out making music just for his friends. This release snapshots important themes in his evocative personal journey - expressed in his own very unique style!

Releasing on Vinyl in 27th of January 2017, the EP, titled
“SiyaThakatha”, showcases Dominowe's original style in the context of the Durban electronic music scene especially when paced beside Gqom and Sghubu. The listener gets a real sense of his complexity and the variety of styles Dominowe is capable of producing. "SiyaThakatha", the EP name, is translated black magic, or, we witching - which is right at the heart of this release: that listening to these sounds invite you into the universe of an unseen world, putting you in touch with what can only described as invisible energy - a combination of the ideal, the intangible, the unattainable and the other-worldly whilst on journey with a 19year old from Durban whose music is composed of influence and innovation. It is about gqom working its magic on the dance floor for people to move - to the distinctive beats and cultural rhythms.

UK born, South Africa based producer Jumping Back Slash kicks off new London based record label CLUB YEKE with 7 track EP “ANIMALS”.

The label aims to present the most innovative and exciting underground electronic sounds, from the African Diaspora, via the Caribbean, Latin America, the UK and beyond. ANIMALS offers a new exploration into global club with a hard hitting statement of intent.

This 7 track musical journey through jungles, forests, and savannahs explores the brutality and beauty of wildlife,.Featuring collaborations with the Lesotho Shepherd poet Morena Leraba, bringing his native Famo style singing, rapping and poetry to tracks “ Tsemedi” and “Mantlapa en Litsiroane”.

Speaking about the forthcoming EP, JBS shared: “I wanted to make a record that felt like a dream in a jungle. A little psychedelic and connected to myths. I wanted it to feel like the end of ‘Apocalypse Now'. Nature reclaiming our houses, people receding into the trees. Surrounded by animals.”

The earthshaking BLUNT BLADES is the first single taken from ANIMALS, mixing gqom rhythms with a raw grime energy, just an example of how Jumping Back Slash infuses the styles and genres that influence him throughout the release.

NÜFRIKA is the new project by @rolv-k & @Pekodjinn, we’re proud & happy to present their first release the SAHEL EP.

Born out of weekly meetings between two friends: Rolv.K & Pekodjinn. The SAHEL EP is all about creating connections. A connection between them, a connection between the past, through traditional sounds and a more contemporary club aesthetic and finally a geographical connection between Rolv.K’s country of origin Sierra Leone (West Africa) and Tunisia (North Africa), where Pekodjinn’s roots lay, hence the name SAHEL EP.
Their debut EP started of as an organic and quite rough sounding jam. Voices and percussions were recorded on the go and the aim was to keep a natural feel. The result however is a smooth urban sound that sits well with the worldwide global club sound.
