So Everyone...

The time has come and I have finally released the first song of my new album. The album will be out in a month so watch this space...

You Are Fire was created last year and means a huge amount to me. It  is not a 'love song' as unfortunately I'm not an overly mushy person, but it is however, written about my boyfriend.

The song is based on misconceptions of people, and he is a shining example of how one might assume somebody is a certain way.

Well, he is not. He is the most generous, kind and loving person I have ever met, and so this song will hopefully remind him of what he truly is every time he listens to it...which had better be a lot.

You Are Fire

A brand new album release. I have been working on this for a couple of years with the help of my cousin.

My process:
Make the starting track (I generally play around until I find a nice sound and a good base to gain a bit of inspiration for the vocal parts). I have taught myself to write on Logic Pro and so I know this is not the final piece.

I then hum over the top of the track to find a melody that works for me. Once this is put in place, I will write the lyrics over the top, something that comes a little more naturally to me.

Once I was happy with that, I sent the tracks to my cousin, Will, who re-wrote them into an original. He then mixed and mastered the songs.
