The title track 'Amnesia' immediately sets the tone with an unrelenting groove and hypnotic ethereal layers that build tension to near-breaking point. Pulsating with seismic bass and razor-sharp percussion, it's a peak-time weapon engineered to ignite the dancefloor with its trancy melody that leaves no one standing still. The single 'No Lover' gets straight to the point, starting with haunting female vocals and an eerie melody combined with a driving, full-throttle rhythm. Its menacing atmosphere, paired with pounding kicks and relentless progression, evokes the energy of a dark, intense warehouse at full tilt — "I'm afraid he's not enough", the voice keeps repeating. Born in Brazil and currently based in Lisbon, Victor Ruiz has been a constant presence on the world stage since 2013 and is widely regarded for his mesmerizing DJ performances, tough yet groovy techno productions and his trailblazing label, Volta Records.
 
Victor moved to Europe in 2018, and from his European base, he has been able to explore the globe with a packed diary of gigs all over the world from New Zealand to Israel, Turkey to the USA, Portugal, Denmark and Argentina. Appearances at globally-renowned festivals such as Tomorrowland and Boom demonstrate his high profile, while demand in North America means he is crossing the Atlantic on a regular basis.
 
In the studio his playful attitude has led to a series of notable releases on labels including Drumcode, Noir Music, Suara, Senso Sounds and many more, taking pride of place alongside his exceptional collection of edits - including The Prodigy’s ‘Breathe’ and Depeche Mode’s classic ‘Everything Counts’.
 
In October 2022, Victor launched Volta Records which has already been home to chart-topping releases with Andata’s ‘Play Hard’ flying high on the Beatport charts, plus hi’s own ‘Touch The Darkness’ also achieving a Top 10 spot and staying there for several months.
 
A consummate professional, Victor delivers powerful performances with every show, aiming to challenge and entertain the dance floor in equal measure. Chris Liebing comes back to his CLR label this April with the ‘Phantom Rider’ EP, already supported by Daniel Avery, GiGi FM, Jon Hester, and more. The first track, ‘Kaizen’, doesn’t hold back - pounding drums, cavernous dub chords, and a razor-sharp snare-laden groove all play a part in this peak-time offering.
