The ineffable Brighton and Manchester based duo Cortese deliver an impressive single for Street Tracks, backed with a remix from Dublin based producer Tyvion Valentine.

Already creating a stir on the scene via releases for Shall Not Fade, Time Is Now, Eton Messy, as well as their own Plaza imprint, Cortese are turning heads and moving feet with their unique fusion of pumping four to the floor beats and more steppier rhythms that draw upon the garage and rave genres.  On ‘Inertia’, the duo float ethereal melodies and glistening keys over an intricate and shuffling rhythm for quite the epic ride!

On remix duties, Tyvion Valentine follows up releases for Street Tracks and Plaza with his own take on ‘Inertia’.  Playfully utilising vocal elements within a driving and warm production, Tyvion’s remix really showcases what this talented producer is up to currently, and an anticipation to hear more from this rising star.

This latest single from the Dublin-based musician finds itself in radically different circumstances to its 2020 predecessor Orainn 02. Needless to say, R.Kitt has spent much of the time in-between embracing his beloved dancefloor again both as spectator and musical provider. These experiences have confounded our subject, whilst relieved at dancing’s return, also finds its current iteration Kinda Strange. Paired with Danbe, he co-owns the label Y4 collective who have just successfully thrown an underground house night at Broadcast as well as pushing releases on three VA compilations with DJs from both Spain and UK scenes. 

Yesca has also been featured on releases for Nervous Records, Slow Supermarket, TheBasement, Happiness Therapy and Eton Messy, with these tracks being played out by Disclosure, Adryiano, Fouk and Eliza Rose as well as featuring on Emerald’s Track ID playlist on Spotify.
