Forged in the pitch black recesses of underground Berlin, long-time conspirators Sawlin & Subjected have been making bold, distinct and largely faceless techno from the cloisters of their Vault Series home. Now comes the first in a two-part EP for Electric Deluxe, titled ‘Foreign Awake’, a much broodier spacy homage than we’ve yet heard from the pair.

Shying away from usual PR and biographies, Sawlin, Subjected and their third Vault Series member Mørbeck have been making names for themselves on the weight of their music alone. Raw, industrial hues, distortion and chest-caving basslines are some of the tropes that have coloured their anonymous ascension to date. While Sawlin has strayed a little from the Vault camp, Subjected has yet to release elsewhere. Until now. In April Subjected released his debut LP, ‘Zero’, which channeled his and the label’s respected tough and concept-free aesthetic into a fully functioning full length. But for Electric Deluxe they’ve served up something all together different.

Swapping their usual gung-ho floor artillery for swirling atmospheric vistas, subtle tones and cavernous empty spaces, ‘Foreign Awake pt.1’ sees Sawlin & Subjected paint chilling, post-apocalypse landscapes in three parts. Deep, dark and dangerously hypnotic, this is Sawlin & Subjected at their most compelling.

Productor, editor de audio y video desde 1996 para varias cadenas y agencias televisivas. Juan Carlos ha utilizado algunos géneros, nombres y estilos musicales que han abarcado su extensa carrera con el sonido donde solo la esencia ha permanecido en el. Clubs o fiestas internacionales han vibrado con sus sets duros y contundentes. Desde hace un par de años, anda en el estudio indagando en sonidos nuevos y formas de producción musical. Amante de lo oscuro en silencio como el dice.

Con influencias desde muy pequeño en Krafwerk, Brian Eno, Liasions Dangereuses, Front 242 or And One entre otros, no es muy conocido por escuchar otros estilos musicales cuando no está en el estudio. Casual en conciertos de Depeche Mode o The Cult entre otros porque no hace mal oído en escuchar a Motörhead por las mañanas en su casa.

Actualmente, es director del sello discográfico Archived Dialogs que con su primera referencia también llamada como el label, se abre hueco en la industria seguido de próximas proyectos y colaboraciones que próximamente dará la luz.

This is raw techno at its purest, recapping legendary underground club nights where boundless creativity gets inspired, that draws a world where rules blur, echoing the communal ethos of a pulsating dance floor. "Mutual Uncertainty" transports you to a metropolis of dystopian grandeur, where beats surge like the city's very heartbeat.

1 Licit - Nothing Is Nothing

Born in northern Germany he dedicated himself to electronic music production since 1998. Never neglecting his development in the process of creating, his sounds carry an unique and maverick vibe. 
His outstanding EPs on Gynoid, Flash Rec. and his own imprint Kaputt Musik are played by the big names of the Techno scene in prestigious clubs like Berghain. The established producers Jonas Kopp, Luis Flores, Luca Agnelli and so forth are part of his vinyl releases on Kaputt Ltd. Coeter is booked for events like Reaktor in Amsterdam and by clubs in Paris, Copenhagen, Prague, Hamburg or Berlin alongside Andre Kronert, Lucy or Psyk to name a few. 
To make this pulse of the metropolises audible in his baltic homeland, he started his event series in Kiel called Fokus inviting Ostgut´s Answer Code Request, Kobosil, Ryan Elliott, Etapp Kyle live acts like Florian Meindl or Vril mixed with newcomer such as Obscure Shape. 
Further noise from Coeter´s studio is to be expected soon. Just now several upcoming releases left to the record pressing plant. Keep an eye on Coe.
