The H'Oponopono chant originates in Hawaii, and has a powerful spiritual message of love, connectivity, forgiveness and reconciliation. By these magic four lines, arguments and conflict can be defused, and a return to love and belongingness can happen Beautifully brought to this world by the enchanting lead voice of Congolese singer, artist and peace activist, Jean Paul Wabotai, this version of the song has been co-composed by Craig Pruess (who has produced, arranged and recorded it, including his ammbient trumpet playing) and Jean Paul, with the serene and heartfelt backing voice of Kate Marney. Kate left the earthly plane today, in the depths of the night, and we are posting this as a fond and loving memory of a sweet and wise soul. Hearing it now, with that emotion, one can hear the trumpet lines as almost an elegy. Kate, we will miss you, but your spirit (and sweet voice) live on! Love forever xx

This album continues the internationally known series of Sacred Chants CDs by Craig Pruess and delves into the ancient tradition of the Sikh hymns, which are imbued with the beauty and power of that lineage. Here are specific details of this chant (track 4 on the album) chosen by Craig and Dya Singh:

This is a passage from a psalm of the tenth Sikh master, Guru Gobind Singh, called 'Chandi Dhi Var'. This is incorporated into the first stanza of the standing prayer or supplication, Ardaas, after addition of the tenth master's name and also the final 'Guru', the eternal embodiment of all ten Gurus, the scriptures and teacher: Guru Granth Sahib. This holy book is resplendently displayed, read from, and is the focal point at all the Sikh services. The ten 'Gurus' are : Guru Nanak Sahib, Guru Angadh Dev, Guru Amar Das, Guru Ram Das, Guru Arjan Dev (who edited and compiled the first edition of the Guru Granth Sahib in 1604), Guru Har Gobind, Guru Har Rai, Guru Har Krishan, Guru Tegh Bahadur and Guru Gobind Singh culminating in the eternal Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji. (ardent Sikhs add the prefix 'Sri', and the suffix 'Ji' to the names of their 'gurus' as a form of deep reverence and respect.)

The music is expertly recorded and crafted. Knowledge of Indian music and its dynamics and harmonics is essential to get this depth in the sound. It benefits from 40 years of recording experience by producer Craig Pruess and is informed by an equal time of yoga and meditation practice. The artists featured in these recordings all display this same dimension of spiritual experience and calmness. Afterall, our nervous systems (and the state they are in!) are the amplifiers of the effect of the music created.
