Groovy, Swingin’ Sixties style guitar riffs, massive bubbling Eighties synthesizers and 90’s production values fusing with today’s classic House beats can only mean one thing, LdashD has unleashed yet another spiffing EP.  
LdashD’s songs aren’t tethered to any genre or decade, but rather meld late 20th century’s styles into a futuristic potpourri of pop. It’s this meeting of musical movements that enables L-D to navigate above and beyond the usual, safe, staid, often mediocre, mass-produced productions that the big label brands lurve to furtively foist on the public.

As a label we were amazed, lost for words when presented with this powerful unique, inspiring and emotive EP, the work encompasses a Trilogy of songs, a large-scale collage, and a heart-wrenching video.
The artist felt compelled to capture some essence of the horrific suffering, hence the many authentic sounds of War, Jets, Helicopters, Bombs, Bullets, Sirens etc. These sounds are no mere backdrop, they are integral and nestle in with the music.’  ‘The Ukrainian Folk singers hauntingly powerful voices, admirably mirrors the tough, determined Ukrainian spirit. The vocals inspire and entertain in equal measure.’
LdashD's reason was that, during War, ordinary people try to maintain some form of normality, amongst the flood of tears there’s also occasional smiles or brief moments of happiness, it is this that compelled LdashD to write something uplifting for the courageous people of Ukraine, to maybe bring some small respite from the current mayhem and to bring some much-needed light-relief.'
I came across this quote from BBC Newsbeat, Viktoria Polchenko from Ukraine's Radio Promin states that music has the power to act, "Like a lifeline that helps us be strong and hold on".

‘TikTok Ravers’ is an extension of the single, but with added trimmings and omissions that builds into a classic ‘Hands in the Air,’ lead line, you know the score.
‘TikTik Tok’ begins & ends with a ravin’ retro organ riff, the bass line’s been chopped & seasoned with FX & Vox before sliding into another retro touch, albeit more recent, a rollicking ravin’ side chained synth that bends back into the slow-build organ riff.
Finally, ‘Kinda Magical’, sees L-D, toughening things up, flexing some muscle, topping up his studio tan while raging broken aggressive synth riffs gradually give way to a gently powerful piano led vocal track.

Straight off the top of the deck comes the title track, the single, In Your Eyes, paired with, Look In Your Eyes, an extended mix. Uplifting vocals punctuate the powerful pounding piano chords that invite the bouncy offbeat bass-line into the mix.

The other two tracks Soundwave Rave & Tec Raver get tougher, no surprises there.

Soundwave Rave is a bangin’ synth laden techy-housey-ravey-kinda-sorta-thingy, lively aggressive and rugged, that builds & builds, but genial too, with positive vocals.

After the dark foreboding intro of Tec Raver, a solid groove dominated by a massive squelchy synth line, liberally scattered with vox, eventually drops into a tight Skippy beat, happy-go-lucky female vocals that gradually pave the way for a delicate counterpoint to the menacing intro, it metamorphoses into an exquisite deftly constructed, charmingly endearing outro.

Full of surprises, never follows suit, but LdashD comes up trumps every time. Another highly original well-crafted four track EP titled, In Your Eyes, a full House that only hints at rigid genres.

Then there’s the pummeling ‘Quantum Feeling,’ a mildly menacing intro eagerly submits to the beefy ‘power-tool’ drums, several bass lines hammer it out, techno synths fill the gaps, while cut up African vocals provide a ‘rubbed down’ rhythmic pulse, a Bulgarian choir brings a warm, spiritual feeling, before it finally sets into a solid, classic, female Vox stab finale.

LdashD cements his House building kudos with two recent top ten chart entries, extending it with a scintillating journey thru his latest self-build House, but not House as we know it, as his DIY expertise has no restraints when extending his own house.

‘Latino Beach House’ the 4th track of an EP refurnishes that classic Rhodes chord riff, stirs in some more cosmic guitars, gradually building a Stately Home of House, thru retro rave synths, rock guitars, sitars, finger cymbals, cowbells, thickening into a vibrantly coloured Latino fiesta decorated with a brisk, fiery, Mexican horn section.

But 'Don’t Believe Da Hype’, LdashD’s music is best experienced, not ‘talked-up’. However, LdashD mentions that: ‘I appreciate my music can be demanding of the listener as it is quite challenging to manufacture it, so I can only suggest if at first, like me, you don’t succeed in appreciating its material worth, try & try again as it took a fair bit of trying, again & again, to produce it’.
