Guiados por Rui Martins, André Carvalho e Hugo Oliveira da Jazzego, nesta série de 3 episódios busca-se questionar e fazer o exercício de memória auditiva procurando decodificar e re-explorar o sampling e o uso de samples como forma de criação e composição que deram origem a novas texturas nos mais diversos géneros musicais. Uma viagem desde o universo da música concreta do final dos anos 40 passando pelo reconhecimento, adaptação e misticismos por detrás do sample, da desconstrução ao desenvolvimento e avanço das ferramentas tecnológicas e ainda pelas questões legais que protegem e limitam a criatividade artística dos intervenientes, esta série pretende chamar atenção do sampling como uma das ferramentas de expressão mais revolucionárias dos últimos 70 anos, que levam este método criativo a um lugar de destaque no futuro.

Neste primeiro episódio, mergulhamos nas raízes do Sampling. Desvendamos como o sampling se transformou num instrumento indispensável na música contemporânea, moldando géneros e definindo estilos. Nas suas origens, o sampling era um acto de rebelião contra normas musicais convencionais e exploração sonora.
