Poker Flat Recordings welcomes back the ever-prolific Alex Niggemann for another speaker-troubling dispatch. This time out, the Aoen and Soulfooled boss drops a hea- vy–duty release that more than lives up to his usual high standards.
'Materium' is epic in every sense of the word- a sprawling, tough journey into analog tech- no – with a dash of house thrown in. It rips through the speakers – the crisp and aggres- sive production provides the space for grow- ling synths and atmospheric, tense pads. What’s more, the whole track audaciously dissolves into silence mid way through – be- fore exploding back into life via a descending analog synth line.

Focusing solely on DJing, his passion for hunting out records both new and old can be heard on his monthly show on Belfast Underground Radio.
Through his residencies over the years Ryan has warmed up for the likes of Dave Clarke, Ben Klock, Sunil Sharpe, Truss, Clouds, Ancient Methods, DVS1, AnD, Rebekah, Speedy J & Marcel Dettmann. A big fan of the DOOF.

"I did this mix as a bit of a warmup for AVA Festival in a couple of weeks time. Basically as much of the kinda stuff I play as possible crammed into an hour. I'll be playing back to back with Nez, so in all reality it'll probably end up being a good bit heavier on the day....."
