Recorded at the "Great Working of Steam", Stourpaine Bushes in 1971. I have no idea what the title is but i believe it was a Marcel Van Boxtel arrangement. I have restored the recording as much as i can without taking away it's authenticity. Recorded in mono

Edward Hine's 89 Keyless Black Forest Gavioli recorded 1971

Built originally as an 87 key and was operated in and around the Hanover area of Germany. During its life, the Gavioli was converted to play keyless music, however, in the early 1960s, the organ was rebuilt by Carl Frei Jnr, it was during this rebuild that Edward Hine spotted the organ and instantly purchased it, without hearing a note. Mr. Hine exported the Gavioli to England where it spent many years being rallied throughout the South of England. It was always the first organ that greeted visitors to the "Great Working of Steam" at Stourpaine Bushes, all through from 1968 through to the late 1980s. During that period, the organ was passed over to Edwards Son, Gordon Hine who designed a purpose-built building to house not only the Gavioli but also numerous other organs, acquired through the years including Marenghi and Mortier. The Gavioli is now rested and has been for many years since disappearing from the scene in the early 1990s. I sincerely hope you enjoy these offerings, taken from a cassette sourced, restored, re-tracked and remastered, each track was also speed adjusted to the correct tempo.
