This is a joint for the upcoming lo-fi project my homie Green Dutch is releasing. In light of the recent issues in the news about a possible war with Syria, the government shutting down, and the continuing foul practices of the "nation", I decided to put this together. The effects of watching the world news at 5:17 am one morning this week.

Ok... so I recorded this track several years ago.  When I first wrote the lyrics, I had NO INTENTION of doing this off a Jay Dee beat.  I first started off writing this joint to no muzik.  But then I got stuck.  I ran downstairs to get some instrumentals and this track came on.  As I went over the rhymes, for some reason they seemed to fit perfectly to this beat.  I had to record it.  I felt guilty at first.  So, I decided to send this track to members of Jay's family.  I sent a copy to Uncle Herm, who liked it so much, he decided it to put it on his personal mix tapes that he passed out at shows.  I then sent a copy to his cousin, Shon, who's become a big sister to me.  She enjoyed it as well.  Lastly, I personally put the track on a cd and gave it to Ma Dukes.  Not sure if she's heard it... I know she gets a gazillion cd's.  Bottom line...  it just worked.  Also, its my son's favorite song I've ever done.  He even requested to have it on his mp3 player.  And I sent it to the Indy Car driver, Will Power, who guess what?  He's a hip hop fan.  His wife sent me an email and they love the joint.  Ok.... enough.  There,  you have it.  I'm not out here on no Charles Hamilton mess.  Check the joint.  Out....

This is a track off the Stoopz N' Breeze "Turn Up the Smooth" album.  Track is about two knuckleheads, Stoopz N' Breeze, selling "product" to the Miami Dolphins number 1 draft pick, and eventually most of the team.

This beat originally is on my first solo project, "The Great Big Nothing", which was initially released Nov 2006. It plays immediately after a song named "Motor City Madness". It served as a nice bookend between MCM and the following track. When I re-released the album, the track wasn't included on my album and neither was this beat. Even still, I knew that one day I was going to record off the track. During the final stages of the album, a young lady I knew named Jenny Davis passed away from renal failure (kidneys). My Mother described visiting Jenny in the hospital, which gave me the inspiration for the song. She said Jenny had tubes in her mouth, nose... seemingly everywhere and was verbally non-responsive. However, when my Mother began talking to her, one of the machines started beeping rapidly and the nurses had to remove my her from the room. I guess the presence of my Mom kinda overwhelmed Jenny... and since she couldn't actually talk, it was too much for her. Sad. I'd known Jenny since I was a kid. Never saw her without a smile or a kind word. She used to always tell these corny jokes that would kinda piss me off... and of course, she said them every time to piss me off on purpose. I wish I could hear one of the jokes right now. Jenny was indeed a sweetheart. Rest in power....

Ok, so this is a remix to a joint I did awhile back.  This was the last entry in a remix contest I had.  Surprisingly, I received about 45-50 remixes in about two weeks.  Not bad for little known cat like myself.  Anyways, my crew The Wack Committee selected this one as the overall winner.  One of these days I'm gonna post the other two remixes to round out the top 3... (Blackreign and Ohkang & Tay Diggahertz were the other cats in the top 3... very dope cats they are).  Anyway, here's the K81 remix.  At least one more verse will be added later from a guest appearance to be named later.  Rock on....

When we went to the lab to FINALLY finish this song, the verses were done.  All we needed is the homie Sterling, aka Buried Glory, to put the finishing touches on it.  His scratchy-voice statement,  "I hate to go to work" came out EXACTLY how I planned.  During the recording in dak's basement, everyone was trying sooo hard not to laugh!  We thought it was hilarious.  His rant at the end was a bonus.  I had to snatch this beat off a tape dak gave me years before we recorded this song.  When I took the tape to the lab, he had to dump the beat in Pro Tools... you can tell by the tape hiss after the second verse.  But anyway, Sterling's vocals were the absolute final vocal work done on the album.  Gotta get that guy in the lab again.  And of course, my two of fellow audopilots are also on this song... AC Pull on the second verse and dak on the beat.

I heard this track over a year ago. Just recorded it tonite. S'times, you gotta just go with the mood. The homie Three-O produced the track and it was mixed by ilajide of Clear Soul Forces. Track is just a quick little reminder that no matter how far we've come, we still got a long way to go. This track will appear on a Leaf Erikson project in the future (project in untitled)

This is a track I did with the very talented Dutch producer, CONTREAU (formerly known as DAEDRA).  The instrumental originally appeared on his EP "Decoy Talk" and was called "Artificial Flowers".  I fell in love with the beat as soon as I heard it and recorded to it shortly thereafter. This is a joint from the vaults.  I didn't even know it existed anymore.  Was initially supposed to be on Intricate Dialect's album, "KEMET", a brilliant album about the country of Egypt.  My bro seriously did his homework on that (here's a link.... http://abprojects.com/album/kemet).  Anyway, this joint didn't make the final cut for the album.  I hadn't heard it since the night we recorded it over Eddie Logix studio when I stumbled upon it two weeks ago.  The track is produced by Shady EV, a cat I hope to work with on some more joints in the near future.   Oh by the way, this joint is the first track I'm leaking off my upcoming EP, "Hidden Gems", which will be released in the early spring of 2013.
