First Demo os the DroneSynth with Ableton´s Auto Filter and a little delay and reverb. DroneSynth is stereo, it has 4 oscillators (2 on each side) and oscillator sync. In the final version there will be a high shelving filter and voltage controlled amp (VCA). You can build a DroneSynth in our workshops. www.leaf-audio.com

Kaputt Monkey Fuzz is one of our DIY pedals. You can build one in our workshops (check www.leaf-audio.com). It features a horribly kaputt sexy fuzz sound & true bypass. Also brilliant for trashing beats and electronic sounds.

Kaputt Monkey Fuzz - Demo with guitar

Our 'Kaputt Monkey Fuzz' is called like this 'cause it sounds really really kaputt. And horribly sexy. It´s a machine which you can build in our workshops as a DIY unit. 

It´s brilliant on guitar, but even more sexy on beats and synths. This demo uses two beats mangled at once with some little reverb, eq + compression and a little editing afterwards. Also the arpeggio (Fxpansion Strobe)and the snare drum-like sound (G-Force Oddity) are fucked up by Kaputt Monkey Fuzz.

Kaputt Monkey Fuzz mangles Beats

A short demo for an image film. Xaoc Devices Batumi LFO clocks Makenoise Rene. Rene gates a Doepfer ADSR, which controls a Doepfer VCA and the Mutable Instruments Ripples VCF. Sound Source is our NTBA, which gets CV from Rene and some parameters are played live. A little reverb in Ableton, that's it.

All sounds (except kick drum) are based on the NTBA. Played by Midi and layered in Ableton. Used modules besides NTBA: 1 VCA, 1 VCF, 2 ADSR, 1 LFO. In Ableton EQ, reverb and delay was used.

NTBA Guide Track 01 (Intro)

We created a free library for Ableton 8 based on sounds of the NOISEFOC Synth - a 3-oscillator synth that can be built in our workshops as a diy-machine.
The library includes 16 Simpler-Instruments that show the possibilities of combining diy-machines and professional production. It doesn´t sound like that but yes, you can do electro pop with the sounds ;-)
