This is a snippet from a recent mix I recorded for the Sineapse event on the 14 Feb at Ancient world in Adelaide.. 
Whilst the event is primarily Psytrance, I have been gifted the opportunity to bring my interpretation of Psy Techno to bridge the sets between Goa to Psy , my tracks in this snippet consist with elements of progressive trance and psychedelic techno sounds from the early 90s and 2000s and recent tunes by Dekel.

First raw mix of my weekly series, each mix will be recorded one time and uploaded with flaws, out of time moments, imperfections of mixing and all.
I have spent hours repeating the same mix trying to make sure it was perfect every time before uploading or sharing. This series is purely for the purpose of keeping it real and to be seen as I am, some days mixing is like breathing, other days I want to throw my decks through the window. 
This is as raw as it gets for me with music, all new tracks that I just downloaded last night while deep in the digging rabbit hole.

it’s been nice to have a play with some of my fav tunes along with many unknown tracks that have been gifted to me recently by someone I look up to in music and her mastery of mixing. 

Uploading the first recording makes me feel uncomfortable; not because I don’t think it’s good enough but the fear of being judged,  it’s unlike me not to perfect something before I let anyone hear or even see what I have created BUT I will continue uploading these mixes to push me out of the need for perfection and to acknowledge the imperfections that happen when mixing new tracks, and laugh at myself for doing silly things like mixing in at 2 different tempos and second guessing whether my damn clap is in time and messing it up as it was the first time. I’ve been mixing for nearly 4 years and it’s the times where I don’t record or just choose random tracks down a playlist that I have mixed “perfectly” and although perfect is an illusion most artists I know chase it. 
In some way it serves a purpose, if I didn’t chase perfection I would never strive to be better, I would settle.
