It is a genuine thrill to be part of the Electronic Convergence team (formerly Timeline Music) and once again assembling a live Verdant Session which is now in its eighth year.   This set submerges down into my favourite deep, bendy and atmospheric techno landscapes whilst spanning 30years of techno from early Aphex Twin,  Resistance D & Schizophrenia through to the latest Sungate (with Taupe) and We're Going Deep (with Remote) releases that landed with me this week. Ahead of our club night at The Carpet Shop in London next Friday (18 August), we present a 100% vinyl mix by DJ Antepop for The MUSAR Show, a two hour journey through the deep sounds of house, dub techno, ambient and widescreen electronics. A masterclass on how to build a set from the founder of Inverted Audio.

If Jungle and Drum & Bass were his first love, Tom Durston aka Antepop went on to explore a much more diverse spectrum of electronic music, drawing in the far-reaching scope of Inverted Audio's coverage, allowing him to reinvent himself time after time. 

Antepop's holds a monthly residency on Netil Radio, and had previous gigs in Farr Festival, Above Below Festival, Berlin's Zur Klappe, HÖR, Renate, Barcelona's LAUT, London's Cafe OTO, Brilliant Corners to name a few...

Regalò un set memorabile al nostro bosco durante l'edizione del 2018: con questo prezioso nuovo episodio ci racconta la sua storia, sempre diversa e sempre la stessa, stregando la mente ed soggiogando il corpo.
Membro del colletivo Acquario e rinomato Resident del salotto di Masada per l'energia che è in grado di trasmettere al dancefloor ed ai suoi abitanti danzanti con i suoi ineguagliabili viaggi sonori. 
Non sappiamo come altro tradurre ciò che Outburst Knobs crea, set dopo set, se non con magia. Professionismo, e magia.

Member of the Acquario collective and renowned Resident of the Masada salotto for the energy he is able to transmit to the dancefloor and its dancing locals with his incomparable sound journeys.
We don't know how to translate what Outburst Knobs creates, set after set, if not magic. Professionalism, and magic.

This was one of those sets that just leaves you blown away when the dust settles....the only word reverberating in my head for hours afterwards was 'wow'...took me some time and a bottle of red to come down from the experience......It was a total honour and privilege to have been asked to close out the Warehouse stage on Thursday evening at this fantastic festival..... I wasn't expecting such a big turn out or stage.....it was a little bit intimidating at first in all honesty.
It took me a while to get into my groove - but I felt that the set flowed very well once I did (after a pep talk from my good pal @charlesgreen) and it seemed to be well received by the audience.
Here is the final couple of hours of the set - I've uploaded the first 55 minutes seperately.....wasn't feeling that bit anywhere near as much as this.

Spinning Grounds w/ @samgoku

It is a satisfying experience when an artist manages to create a modern sound by implementing what makes dance music so dearly appreciated amongst enthusiasts: Blended noises, repetition and some cheeky, unexpected madness. 

Sam Goku does that in his productions - with a sleekstraightforwardness that one would not expect from a rather hypnotic beat. While appearances in some of Europes most established clubs and his eclectic set at the final rendition of Secret Garden Party put him on the map, he has never stopped to refine his skills as a mixer and selector. 

He skilfully plays his way through myriads of subgenres and microcosm in the realm of (leftfield) house, techno and bass music, developing sets that are equally characterized by buoyant ease and yet great depth in the rhythmic, melodic and sonic details.

'Spinning Grounds' by @katharina-davids is all about opening grounds for newcomers to spin their music - to explore genres from house, Detroit, dub techno to break beat.

The potato-sounding recording adds an extra raw, disted touch.

All tracks are from 1991 - 2000 by producers and labels such as Luke Slater, Synewave, Damon Wild, Tresor, Underground Resistance, Aux 88, James Ruskin, Drexciya, Basic Channel, Robert Hood, Claude Young and Chris McCormack to name a few.

Kiskelfacit's Hjärngymnastik DJ set from Teleport Into Space: Dance Planet Stockholm Oct 14 2023

This is a re-recording of the full 3.5 hour live set that I played at Outra Cena, Lisboa, on 19/10/2023. The club was busy and the energy was high, and the pace and mood of the set reflects this. On the night, I found it quite hard work to monitor over the boomy reverb of the cavernous room, so my mixing was a lot more raw than it is presented here, with more chop and dynamic mixing tricks. However, I wanted mainly to commit the selection to record, as I was very satisfied with it.

Freerotation Festival (a.k.a. the highlight of every year a.k.a. the four best dancefloors on the planet) was on top form this year – it's always a total joy to play and spend the weekend there and I'm really happy to share the recording of my set. I was playing second-to-last on Sunday night in Room 1, between XDB and Sebastian Mullaert, so I figured I'd leave out the drastic tempo shifts and just have A LOAD OF FUN keeping the party going instead, maybe coaxing out a couple of end-of-festival tears in the process.

If you were there then millions of thanks to you, there's no bunch of people I'd rather play to (or hang out with) and I've spent the last 3 days wishing I could go back. Hope you've managed to get through the last few days without almost weeping at the coffee machine. (I've had no such luck.)
