1. The Rest Is Ours EP - Coming After You

Last week, I played a birthday party and the clients requested a bunch of 90s songs. What a blast it was! I went through some of my favorites, and on top of the list of the 40-something songs I brushed up on for the show, was "I Alone" by Live. I has always loved this song, and it was a blast turning it into an acoustic song.    

So to continue my LIVE versions of super cool COVER songs that I post (and will be posting weekly), here is I ALONE by LIVE. 

Please note: This song was recorded live in one take with no editing and no autotune by me in my practice space. This is something like what you'd here in person at a Leah Jee acoustic show.

This little ditty is a song for unification & an outcry against suppression! In the wake of the the WI Supreme Court overturning Governor Ever's executive order to postpone the WI election date to keep the voters of WI safe and healthy during the COVID-19 pandemic, we are enraged at the measures taken for Voter Suppression and how certain members of our government are willing to risk the health, safety and ultimately lives of this state's citizens. So I used my voice and wrote this battle cry.
