Hello friend,

Apologies are a funny thing.
Sometimes they work, sometimes they don't.
I suppose I never really expected the boy to accept my apology.
After all, I had spent so long trying to figure out HOW to apologize,
what to say, what to do, that I missed the opportunity to do so at the right time.
Too little, too late as they say.
 
But I never thought it would hurt as badly as it did.
I spent so long existing and creating memories with the boy, so comfortable with his presence in my life, that when he was no longer in it, I felt empty.
Like a part of who I was had been lost.
 
It's like losing the main character in chapter two. 
How do you keep writing?
How do you keep evolving?
 
I've found that, where there is loss, whether it be an empty 
chair at the table or a number you can't call, there is also peace. 
Being alone doesn't have to be a negative thing, it can be something that helps you grow. 
To learn more about yourself, what you like, what you don't like, your hobbies and dreams.
To write you're own story. 
 
People move on, and while it's not always easy to do and sometimes even painful,
it's still worth a shot to try.
 
So listen to this song, have a good cry, and then get up and start a new chapter.
