Lea Hunter has came a long way since purchasing his first set of turntables when he was just a young enthusiastic club goer interested to know just what went on behind the booth as he stood amazed by what he was hearing and what was going on in front him . .

He started clubbing at the likes of Glasgow's famous Inside Out, Gatecrasher and Godskitchen just over 10 years ago which ultimately set him on course for where he is today . .

There was never any doubt that music was Lea's first love and when he soon realised that his dream could one day become a reality he went straight to work in a home made studio armed with nothing more than two turntables, a mixer and a box full of his favourite vinyl. As time passed by he crafted and perfected his skill to a point where he was happy enough to play in front of more than just four walls, and when he did, it was plain to see that there was more than just a passionate clubber at work, but a talented, technically gifted DJ who was ready to start making a name for himself . .

Without doubt, Lea remains loyal and leaves his passion with trance despite being a huge fan of techno inspired by the likes of . .

Axel Karakasis, Cristain Varella, Marco Bailey, Phunk Investgation, Slam, Tom Hades and Umek

He was given his first club gig at Scotland's famous venue Club 69 at a night named Salute alongside resident and local techno hero Wardy . . Nothing more had to be said as he completely blew the roof off the club and soon had people talking off his skill and what they had just experienced . .

Not long after Lea started his own night Infusion in order to play more reguarly and soon started to make progress pulling local crowds in for parties all for the love of his music and DJ skills . .

Soon after that, hee met another local lad Matt Skeoch who shared the same drive and determination as he did and decided to take him under his wing where they formed a duo called The L&M Project and have since went on to play gigs at many highly respectable nights including Supernova at The Arches where they supported the likes of Stephan Bodzin, Hernan Cattaneo and Valentino Kanzyani . .

They started producing together, mostly in Tech House & Techno and still continue to do so while holding their reputation as one of the most talented and exciting duo acts across the country . .

As time progressed Lea started to take his producing more seriously despite playing with it at an early stage on a programme named Music Maker, then onto E-Jay, FL Studio before settling with Cubase . .

He has since then worked his way through the learning curve of producing after teaching himself as far as he could before becoming a student of Public Domain mastermind James Allan to further his skills ever more . .

Throughout his producing experience he has toyed with different genres like trance, techno, house, progressive house and tech house adopting some alter egos along the way with . .

His productions have proved a hit after securing releases on various labels . .

With his trance work on Black Heart and Infected Digital Records who he has just signed a four year contract to release exclusively on Infected Digital . .

And then with his techno projects on labels such as XTC Recordings, Mind Code and Wired Room Records . .

Lea continues to work hard in the studio constantly testing himself in the hope that his music and creations please everyone and anyone who is blessed to hear them . .

Outside of the studio he has been applying himself in to running a local event night named Lust . . with him and his right hand man Matt, they have been making a name for themselves as far as hosts are concerned throwing some amazing events throughout Glasgow and the west coast of Scotland again putting as much effort into it as they do anything else music related all in favour of the music . .

With plenty new productions and gigs lying just around the corner, 2012 is set to be another good year for Lea as he continues to do what he loves in the hope that one day is dream of being that guy behind the booth and not on the floor becomes a reality . .
