טלי בירנברג מבצעת את "ככה זה" של ברי סחרוף בתרגום לאנגלית
טלי בירנברג, זמרת ויוצרת תל אביבית, כעשר שנים בתעשיית המוסיקה הישראלית, משחררת גירסה
סוחפת ועשירה לשירו הקלאסי של ברי סחרוף. טלי, שכותבת לעצמה ומלחינה לה ולאחרים, פנתה
בשנת 2102 למנהלו האישי של סחרוף, ניצן זעירא עם הצעה מהפכנית - להעביר את הקסם
והמסתורין של "ככה זה" לגירסה אנגלית בביצועה. זעירא שקיבל את העותק, העביר אותו לסחרוף
וזה אישר את ההקלטה.
טלי, בעלת תואר באנגלית ומתמחה בתרגום טקסטים, מספרת כי אין זו הפעם הראשונה בה היא
לוקחת טקסט ישראלי קלאסי ומתרגמת אותו לאנגלית. בעבר עשתה זאת עם טקסטים של יצחק
קלפטר )דמיון חופשי Free Imagination, כוכב שלי My Star , צליל מכוון Tuned Sound
ונפגשנו When we Met (. התרגומים הקודמים היוו לה השראה גדולה וכעת החליטה לעשות זאת
גם עם שירו של סחרוף. בירנברג בוחרת בקפידה כל טקסט אותו היא מתרגמת ולדבריה, תהליך
בחירת השיר ותרגומו, כמו שמירה על נאמנות לגירסה המקורית אינם פשוטים.
מאז שתורגם הופיעה בירנברג עם השיר שזכה לעניין רב ולאהדה מן הקהל, ובסופו של דבר הגיע גם
לאולפן ויחד עם מפיקה הקבוע של בירנברג, דן ציפורי חברו השניים להפקת השיר.
לבקשת הקהל החליטה בירנברג להוציא את That’s the Way it is כסינגל עצמאי וחגיגי, בונוס
לקהל אוהדיה לרגל ראש השנה. כיום עובדת טלי על אלבומה הראשון ,       "Sparks" ניצוצות
  לא יכלל בין שירי האלבום That’s the Way it is השיר
