Welcome to the 14th label release for @PuzzleProjectsMusic brought to us by UK 🇬🇧 producer @LeBantMusic.

Taking things down a notch after the thumping dance floor cuts on the previous releases, @PuzzleProjectsMusic opens its doors to @LeBantMusic once again. The Bristol-raised, San Francisco-based producer has been carefully cultivating his own nu-disco-tinged sound for the past 10 years, adopting a focused, meticulous approach. By taking his time and refining his craft privately and patiently @LeBantMusic has arrived with a maturity beyond his years on the scene. As a relative newcomer, his sound is nuanced, confident, and utterly enchanting. 

This two-track EP kicks off 'Network Groove' (PPM0025) locking us into a hypnotic disco groove, utilising organic-sounding percussion and building up to breakdown just before the two-minute mark. @LeBantMusic adopts a less-is-more approach with this cut, keeping it simple, while also imbuing the track with his own distinctive personality. Flourishes of trumpet pop up to add character, while the bassline continues to transfix you all the way until the glorious end.

This ‘follows with Attention!' (PPM0025), a soothing funked-up number full of analogue melodies, strings, and pads that wash over you. LeBant's firm grasp of arrangement and narrative keeps the track lively and interesting throughout, telling a gripping story with his retrofied production. 

@LeBantMusic’s arrival on the scene marks a critical step forward for the artist as he finally introduces the world to his sound and prepares to step into his power as an artist. Rest assured this is an artist whose talent and dedication are a perfect fit for @PuzzleProjectsMusic.

@PuzzleProjectsMusic returns with another quality release (PPMEP7), boosting its discography and showcasing label head @BenSpaldingOfficial’s impeccable A&R and curatorial skills. This time around we have a two-tracker from San Francisco-based Brit, @LeBantMusic. The talented producer has been quietly working on music and refining his skills for the best part of a decade, only now releasing it to the public. It’s a privilege for @PuzzleProjectsMusic to provide an outlet for LeBant and his synth-powered disco and sci-fi funk.

The EP begins with ‘Dream On’, a great intro to LeBant’s style, with the low end driven by a hypnotic disco rhythm. You’ll be hooked from the off and immersed in the interstellar atmospherics once it gets into its groove. LeBant’s ability to create a strong narrative and engrossing progression evident throughout this cut which features a superb sample in its second half. 

‘Rocking It’, is next up. This is a low-slung groover with retro electrified vocals which will transport the listener back to the genesis of electro music back in the early eighties - expect electric boogaloo and robotic moves on the dance floor when this is dropped. LeBant creates a jaunty, nu-disco vibe, adding layers of synthesiser funkadelia to weave a meandering, yet enchanting story.
